Ding Dong the mouse is gone.....

FINALLY!!!! After a week of sharing our house with our little friend and EIGHT traps of 3 different styles it finally got caught. That was one determined, stubborn little mouse! Mouse bait, chees and peanut butter didn't seem to interest it at all. Last night I finally put some steak/butter grease on the trap and that seemed to do it. I had no idea if mice like that but I guess this one was looking for a steak dinner! lol

You better reset the trap.
The one you caught might not have been the only mouse. They rarely live alone
There was an article in our newspaper a couple yrs ago and I was shocked at how fast they can breed.

I hate mice and have never seen one in this house and have lived here 18 yrs.
I hope my luck holds.

Of course it wasn't interested in Skippy.

Don't you know that choosy mice choose Jif?

I've heard that it doesn't really matter what food you bait the trap with as long as it has a strong odor which is why peanut butter usually works better than cheese.

lol That's funny!
As far as more mice I hope there aren' any. We still have the rest of the traps set. When I first saw the mouse it was in the entryway by the front door so I'm hoping it had just come in.

I don't blame the little fellow. Your choice of products explain it. Next time, go straight for the steak butter or maybe some Parmigiano Reggiano.

The mouse probably heard about the Salmonella scare with the peanut products.
