Do you wear a "pricey" watch

What type of watch do you wear, and why did you pick it out? What do you think it says about you?

I wear a Bulova. It was a gift. I don't think it says anything about me. It serves a purpose. I've had it for years and it still looks great. Probably will have no need to get a new one for a very long time....hmm....if ever.

I wear a Citizen Eco-Drive because it never needs batteries. It uses the sun to charge itself. This is the second one that I have had and I love them. I also have a Tag Huer that was a gift that I only wear on special occasions. I use my watches for function, not really for looks or what they say about me.

I wear a Timex Indiglo...the one I have now is an Expedition. Whatever the heck that means...LOL I wear this type (and have forEVER) because dh and I are campers/backpackers. The indiglo backlight is helpful to see what time it is in the middle of the night (his snoring always wakes me up). And it was cheap....under $40 I think. Serves it's purpose well.....it stands up to being banged into stuff and it's waterproof.

I do have a pricey watch (well, it's pricey to me) that I got for working here 12 years....not sure of the brand but it cost over $600 (I know only cuz I cut the check to pay for it ). I never wear that except on special occasions.

not sure what it is, I cant wear one, i can put a brand new battery in a watch, put it on and within three weeks the battery would be dead. DH has bought me a few watches over the years, 3-4 months of replaceing the batteries i gave up and never wore them again.

Well, I thought I replied, but it is not here. Anyway, I have a lot of watches that are all for fashion, not function. I do not always wear one. I treat them like bracelets. I wear fun watches when I feel the urge.

I actually do own a nice expensive watch from back in the day, but I never wear it. I use my cell phone to get the time, and my watches are for fun. Half of the ones i wear do not even have a working battery!

I would feel naked without my watch. I wear a Citizen Eco-Drive that is silver with a black face. It says I am not flashy and like simple lines. It's not "girly" or "dainty". It's functional. Of coarse I got it on sale at Kohl's and got an extra 30% off and then an extra 10% off of that. I love it

Flik Flak Mon Petit Angel - Flik Flak Standard - FPB003 | Squiggly Swatch Watches and Straps

I love it! It is very perky, pink, and shiny!

I rarely wear one on a daily basis, usual just on vacation or if I know I'll be needing to check the time frequently. Mine is actually one I got for free with an Avon order!

Now, I do have a nice one that was given to me by my grandparents thats a Gucci for my HS graduation. It doesn't have a clasp, it's more-or-less a bracelet style and I very, very rarely wear it. I'm SO afraid I'll lose it.

Stopped wearing a watch when I quit my job 10 years ago. The one I do wear once in a while is a Swiss Army watch. I also have one that I got from work before I quit -- it has the company mascot on the face. To me, watches are purely functional since I don't wear much jewelry at all. Usually just my wedding rings and a cross necklace. Sometimes, I'll put on earrings but not very often.

I don't know if you would call them pricey or not but I wear a Tissot or Movado for everyday watches and I have a gold Bulova for dress. My dh loves to buy us matching his and hers watches. Both of my everyday watches have a leather band. I am not sure that they say anything about me other than my dh likes to buy watches.

My every day watch is Swiss Army Knife. I've had it for 12 years and it is waterproof so I even swim in it. I have other fun cheap watches that I wear if the mood grabs me.

I have a ton of watches, I wear them to match the outfit. The one I wear most is a gold Gucci watch that I got from my ex for Christmas one year. It takes a beating and still looks great. I have a couple of other expensive watches too that were gifts. I actually just bought the most awesome watch in the Tampa airport the other day for $10. There was an accessory store there where everything was $10.

different watches for different outfits/moods.
My favorite is my Arkansas Razorback Fossil watch! It's definitely a conversation starter....and then I have to show my Razorback tattoo, and earrings, and purse and....

I mostly buy cheaper watches so I can buy more that fit my wardrobe needs!

I wear an Eddie Bauer watch that I've had forever. I'm cheap, I just get a new band when it breaks.

I wear one every day and can't stand it when the battery dies. I have to get it fixed that day or the next! I try to use my phone, but never remember to look at it.

Mine is an Anne Klein that is silver with a tiny bit of gold. I have a couple others, but I'm a one-watch & 1-purse type of gal. I wear/use the same ones every day until they die (or until DH decides I need a new one for Christmas!)

I did not buy it. DH gave it to me for Christmas probably 10 years ago. I love it.

We are a fossil watch family. DH and I each have a couple and each of the boys at college have three or so of them.

My favorite part about the Fossil watches is.....I can beat the crap out of mine by scratching the crystal and the bracelet and running the battery dead and then mail it in to the Service Center and for $27 they will replace the crystal, band and battery. This is the policy even after the warranty runs out. Usually we send in a couple of them at a time and the only stipulation is, they need 2 forms and 2 seperate checks. This is perfect for someone like me that is always banging their watch into things.

I recently got a Fossil watch. Orange in color, HUGE face. I like it because it is jazzy looking. I think it says I have a sense of humour. There are "crystals" around the face as well. I got it at Dillards on sale.

DH has a Fossil watch that I think he got cheap at work years ago, and I was able to convince him to check on the warranty when it broke. That really is excellent. I have a Gap watch my mum won at work, a dorky little Casio one I bought, and a Seiko one that was my grandfather's, and needs to be repaired, but no one seems to have the necessary parts. Still, my job requires a lot of typing, so I just use my phone.

I have an Anne Klein watch also...It's gold and silver with some small diamonds around the face...It cost about $100 and I got it for Christmas a few years back...I also have a Betty Boop watch (of course!)...I don't wear a watch that much anymore...One reason being that my watches need new batteries...Another reason is that I just use my cell phone to see what time it is... ~Lisa

I'm really hard on watches but need to wear one. It's much easier then a cell phone that I have to keep turned off when I'm working. So... I get the $6 watches from Walmart. They generally last a few years until the band breaks or the battery dies and then I just get another one. I always get an analog watch with a second hand -- simple black band and silver oval face this time. I've actually received compliments on it! Ha ha. If they only knew!

I feel naked without a watch!
I have several and my current daily favorite is a bracelet style two tone Seiko. I usually have my phone (which I forget to look at for the time), and I have a Harujuku Lovers Kokeshi watch on my purse strap if I forget to wear my regular watch.
I have styles ranging from a cool chunky Eeyore watch to Seiko/Citizen dress types. Some were gifts and some were just cute and great deals! My current watch was 50% off on clearance at work, plus 15% off, etc....my fave Citizen was a deal from here back in the day...Ashford.com or something...50% off, plus a $75 coupon

I still miss my original Swatch watch!, coral-pink....so cute, but the part that held the battery in snapped off and there was no fixing it.

I wear a Citizens watch. It's waterproof, has metallic band, and very durable. 5 years, 2 battery replacements and still keeping great time.

I rarely wear a watch.......I have an Ohio State Buckeye watch, Mickey Mouse, Tinker-Bell, Winnie the Pooh, a nice gold watch with diamonds (that I'm to afraid to wear anywear). I don't judge people by the watches that they wear, so I've never really thought about what my watches or not wearing a watch says about me........

When my oldest was little, I scratched her with my watch, and just got out of the habit of wearing one.......I don't really do any type of jewelry.

I haven't worn one in years. I use my cell phone. BUT I always used to wear a Timex Indiglo. I love the backlight and it's not that expensive, so when I was teaching and banging it up or getting paint on it, I didn't really care too much.

I have a thing for watches, like some people do for shoes or purses. The one I wear most often is a Seiko that is gold faced but has a gold/silver metal bracelet band. My vice is that we live very close to a Fossil outlet store, and they have tables & tables of their watches at about $20-$30! Lets just say I have about every color out there :-)

I wear a brand made by Bulova for work. I also collect Swiss Army watches, and have quite the collection. Before my new Bulova, I wore a durable Swiss Army watch for many years.
I have been known to spend upwards of $700 on a watch.

I have a Cartier Tankissime that my Aunt left me. But it spends more time in my jewelery box than it does on my arm. It just not an everyday watch.

I don' think it says anything about me other than I own an expensive watch.

I don't wear a watch. When I was a legal assistant and then a court reporter, everything revolved around being on time. I vowed if I ever got out of that line of work, I'd never wear a watch again. And I don't!!!
