| Craigslist Ad
I was looking at Craigslist and saw this ad. I hope he finds the right person for his dog. ![]() Beagle Needs a Home -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to: comm-1042001879@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] Date: 2009-02-19, 7:05PM EST First off, I just want to say that I LOVE Skip. He is 18 months old. We've had him since he was a puppy. When he's tired, he'll curl up on the couch and take a nap with you. He has lots of energy. He's been neutered. He's had a session with the Dog Whisperer of North America. He's been to obedience training. He is crate trained. He is trained to ask to go outside when he needs to go. What Skip needs is a home with the following: 1. No kids 2. No eighty-two year old grandparents 3. No other dogs (unless they are around the same size and willing to whoop Skip when he gets out of line) 4. A fenced in yard 5. A manly man owner who will not take any guff. 6. A tidily maintained house, because anything he can reach is fair game. Skip's minor flaws include: 1. He has just recently decided that the wireless dog collar is no deterrent if there's a deer in the yard 2. The neighbors are afraid of him because when he runs away he barks really loudly at them and does not come when called 3. You might as well forget about getting him to come back in after he's run through the wireless dog fence. 4. If you leave something within reach, whether it's socks or toys or a plastic bag or a tv remote, Skip will grab onto it and refuse to let go. If you try to take it away from him, Skip will bite you. On the other hand, he has a real soft spot for Beggin' Strips, and will happily drop whatever he has in exchange for something better. 5. Skip has developed a body slam technique that he uses on our other small dog, who is afraid of him. 6. Grandpa is not afraid of him, but should be. 7. Grandma has to wake up really early in the morning to walk her dog because Skip will chase her and her dog if he's out. 8. Go ahead and yell at Skip. He will completely disregard you. He is impervious to threats. In spite of all these flaws, I love Skip, but he needs a home where he's the lone dog. So if you like long walks in the woods, have strong arms for when he pulls, and have always wanted a beagle, please let me know
