Hi ladies, I would like your opinoin on something. I bought a computer on the 18th. Today I see a ad in the paper for the same computer same price, only now it come's with the monitor. My husband thinks we should take the ad and go back. I think we just might have missed out. What do you guys think?

Where did you buy the computer? Some stores have policies about price matching if the item goes on sale within so many days after you purchase it. It never hurts to try.

We bought it at Fry's here in Las Vegas. I went to their website but didn't find any info.

I'd call and see what they have to say.

My daughter bought a dell inspiron 530 about 2 weeks and it is the worst computer I have ever seen. It came with all kinds of files missing and virus', skins missing the whole works are messed up. It is going back to the store tomorrow.

Only two days later? I'd definitely march into the store with my receipt and the ad. What do you have to lose?

That is one of the things I like about Best Buy. We have 45 days to price match / return etc.

Most stores have 7 days at the least for price adjustments. A lot have 2 weeks (14 days) and Ultimate Electronics has 90 days. We bought a Sony 32" TV on sale and then the next week it was $50 cheaper so we just took in the ad and viola...they reduced it. I would call first and ask their policy.

Go in. If you are there in person with the ad and your receipt they should honor it.

When you call be sure to ask the associate's name and write it down with the time you called. Sometimes if I'm not real happy with the answer I get, I will call back again and speak with someone else on a different shift and once again write everything down again. You might want to call the same store in a neighboring community. It seems like many times they are all different.

Well, the item numbers were different and they said no. When I pointed out that the reason the item number was different was because it now had a monitor they still refused.Then a manager said he could do it for $69.99. That's OK I'm happy with my new computer. Thank you ladies for your imput.
