I will be 42 in April. I carried a denim purse in my 20s and I loved it! I just recently got another denim purse.. a hobo type one. I love it too.. it's so soft and fun, but I am second guessing it, because of my age.

I wear jeans mostly. I wouldn't carry it while dressed up. I tried carrying a more "adult" purse. It made me feel OLDer Oh how can a purse make one feel younger or older.

As long as your not wearing hoochie clothes who cares? I dont wear dresses if it bothers people oh well. i dont wear makeup bothers people? oh well....... better than spending a few hundred on a purse... oh i carry a backpack or if i dont want to do that I carry what i need in my pocket.

Heck no, nobody is ever too old to carry a denim purse. I'll be 49 in July and my dh bought me one from Target on my 47th b-day - I alternate it with a black leather backpack type bag and a pink suede purse!

My DD LOVES purses and has a dozen or so, mostly from Walmart or garage sales. We went to an outlet mall and she decided she needed another purse. We were shopping along and she saw the Coach store. "Look, Mom, a purse store!" I was like, I don't think you can afford those... "Mom! I have money!"

I'll never forget the sticker shock look on her face when we went in and she saw the actual prices. And they were having a sale. Hundreds of doIlars on a purse? Nah, I don't think I could do it.

I don't think 42 is quite ready for the belly bag and sweatshirt look yet
Although when I do get there I'm going to think about one of those Bedazzler things.

I saw a denim purse the other day and it brought back lots of memories. If I can wear bell bottoms (ok...boot cut pants) at 46, then I can certainly carry a denim purse.

I'm not gonna wear those stirrup pants again though when they get popular again!!!!!.
