| Snacks for a busload?
My kid is going on a 5 hr bus trip. Several other moms are making brownies and sweets, I want to send something savory. I was told Chex mix and trail mix are out cuz those are the sorta things that end up everywhere in food fights. Any ideas? TIA, MZ  |

<Gasp!> not cheese sandwiches that's abuse! If your up north? I know in the northeast they have tons of pretzel places maybe without the salt, it'd be better than all that sugar

I was thinking along the lines of pretzels or baby carrots. Costco carries pretzels in those big jars for cheap. I used to buy them for my classroom.

soft pretzels! I get them for all our family's trips, even for weddings for the bridal party while we are out getting pictures taken.

Apple slices, grapes, orange segments, raisins, Rice Krispy Treats, popcorn, pretzels, Goldfish crackers. Take a roll of paper towels and some bottled water and a couple of trash bags, for cleanups, because brownies and most sweets sound like a disaster.

make a suggestion that the kids help clean up all messes made on the bus so the bus driver doesnt have to so any foodfight they will have to clean up

A friend just returned from an 18 hour school bus trip (Atlanta to NYC) and her son suggested animal crackers. I always send in bananas.
