Name The Three Singers You've Seen The Most...

In concert. Group or single person is fine. Also the three concerts that were the most memorable... why and where they were located.

Performers.
3. Brenda Lee and Little Anthony and the Imperials. Twice each.

2. The Everly Brothers and The Beatles. Three Times each.

1. Paul Revere and the Raiders. At least 6 times at EPCOT.

Concerts.
3. Brenda Lee at City Hall Plaza in Boston. She sang Rockin Around the Christmas Tree in July and had 50,000 people singing along with her.

2. Ray Charles at The South Shore Music Circus, Cohasset, MA. Memorable just because it was Ray Charles!

1. The Beatles at Shea Stadium, 1965. I still have my ticket!

I have seen Rush at least 20 times.
Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder not as many but that number is getting higher and hopefully it will get way higher later this year!
Also I have seen Rod Stewart several times. My sister loved him so she went to Rush with me and I went to see Rod with her.

Most memorable
Eddie Vedder in Milwaukee
Pearl Jam in Columbia SC
Pearl Jam St Louis at the Vote For Change show

Jackson Browne -- got to meet in person a few times
John Mellencamp
John Denver :-)
Neil Diamond

Marshal Tucker and several others that appeared a few times at Milwaukee's SummerFest

I live between Milwaukee and Chicago so there are lots of concerts. I'm getting older though and have tapered off on concerts the last 15 years. DS wants me to take him to see Cold Play this summer at an outdoor concert. I LOVE Cold Play but.......... outside???? Bugs, rain, hot sun.......... I want a reserved seat in a stadium!!!

Smiles,

I got to see Dan Fogelberg a couple of times too. He was wonderful and heart touching. One concert he had Tim Wisman (? I might have this last name screwed up) anyway Tim someone who played the flute. Twin Sons of Different Mothers. Just beautiful!!

Another group that I can't think of the name of -- the group Stevie Nicks was in -- I got to see a couple of times too. Ok. What is the name of that group??? I can see their first album cover in my mind. It's hard getting old and not remembering things!!! :-)

Edited: Fleetwood Mac I had to google it to find the name of the group.

Keith Urban (Richmond, VA and Charlotte, NC)
Carrie Underwood (w/K. Urban in Charlotte, NC)
Martina McBride (Bangor, ME)
My brother and sister in law just surprised me tonight with tickets to go see Keith again this summer in Boston. I am so excited! I can't wipe the smile off my face. Seems good to smile again....

The most memorable:
1. Rolling Stones- Cotton Bowl, Dallas, TX
2. Eric Clapton- Lloyd Noble Arena, Norman, OK
3. Neil Young- Lloyd Noble Arena, Norman, OK
4. Aerosmith- Scope, Norfolk, VA
5. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers- College of William & Mary, Willamsburg, VA.
6. The Grateful Dead- Zoo Amphitheater, Oklahoma City, OK

Alll of these were waaaay back in the day when they (and I) were much younger. These have to be the best concerts I've seen. I have only seen one group more than once and that would be ZZ Top, twice, once alone and once they were the backup band for the Rolling Stones.

Ok, I didn't know we were going to list all the concerts, LOL, then I have to add: Van Halen (when David Lee Roth was in it), Black Sabbath (when Ozzy was in it), Yes, Harry Chapin, Andy Gibb, Doobie Brothers, America, Devo, BW Stevenson, Charlie Daniels Band, Gallery, James Taylor, Blondie, Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Ramones, I can't think of the rest right now.

Can you believe I am almost 40 and I just went to my first concert this month!?

METALLICA !!!!!

Dh is a big fan and the tickets were free, so there I was! I did at least know some songs, but it would have been more fun if I were a big fan. It was great though, what a show and they were really nice people, they brought a little kid on stage and let him play the drums.

My most memorable have to be:

Elton John & Billy Joel, both together and separately over several years in Dallas
Bruce Springsteen, in Dallas in 1985 & 2008
George Strait , many years on New Year's Eve in Dallas

I've been to dozens of concerts and seen everyone from Chicago to Black Sabbath to George Strait.

I guess he's not THAT famous...I've never heard of him!

I had the luxury of seeing a lot of great bands when I was in college....Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Elton John, Tom Petty, Heart, Dan Fogelberg, Aerosmith, Styx, BTO, Robert Palmer, Pure Prarie League...and then there was our soulful stage when we saw Billy Preston, Stevie Wonder, and Al Green (in the round )

I've seen both Rod Stewart and John Mayer more than once. My last few concerts have been Allman Bros w/Derek Trucks and John Mayer and John Mayer.

No, you probably haven't heard of him....you don't strike me as someone who enjoys country music (from the early 90s at that)

You got that right on....I am not a fan of crying in my beer. LOL Still I think I'm at least somewhat aware of the really big country singers (not living completely under a rock and all....LOL) and I've never heard of him....

James Taylor - 6 times
Billy Joel - 3 times
Elton John 3 times (never these two together)
Rush (3 times - DH dragged me...BTW, if you ever want to meet a man, might a suggest a Rush concert? I may as well have been in Alaska - males at Rush concerts significantly outnumber females...it even smelled more mannish...)
Michael McDonald - 2 times
38 Special - several times

All others - Beach Boys, Billy Idol, Rick Springfield, Prince, John 'Cougar' Mellancamp, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, Tom Petty, American Idol tour - Season ONE!, Peabo Bryson, Rascal Flatts

Marilynk - Tracy Laurence is great! You Find Out Who Your Friends Are...I love that song! I became a country music fan at the age of 39...we were traveling up in New Hampshire and no radio stations were coming in except country. At first we begrudgingly listened, then I realized I was meant to be a country fan! I don't listen to anything else on the radio anymore...

Way too many concerts here so I will stick with the original question.

Groups seen most:

1. Lynyrd Skynyrd
2. ZZ Top
3. Joe Satriani

Most memorable:

1. Styx - Excellent show, super high energy
2. Outlaws - the last show with Hughie Thomasson -one of the original Florida Guitar Army. He passed away 2 days later.
3. B - 52's - the people in the audience were a trip with the whole cult thing going on.

Right now I am trying to convince myself not to put tickets to see Clapton/Winwood on the credit card. They are playing Vegas and tickets go on sale Saturday.
Bad Cindi, put down that Visa

Def Leppard 17 times (my fav group)
Bon Jovi 3 times
Motley Crue 3 times

I'm a child of the 80's and seen quite a few back in the day

Most Memorable:

Def Leppard in Portland, Maine---Finally got to meet some of the band, this was in 2004...and then met them again the next year. Took me 20+ years, but oh so worth it.

Tough call... If you include going to the local Renn Faire and watching multiple performances per day the group I've seen the most is the Tartan Terrors. They're a scottish music (bagpipes etc) comedy troop out of Toronto.

Disregarding the Renn Faire...

Slayer - hands down, group I've seen the most often

Disturbed - even got to go back stage and meet/chat with the band

3rd most often is probably a tie between Type O Negative, Danzig and Ozzy Osbourne (with and without Black Sabbath). But Queensryche would be a runner up and if you put the Renn Faires back in - Albannach (scottish tribal music).

The most memorable concerts would be...

Police Reunion Tour, Hershey Park - hands down, without a doubt, THE most memorable

Disturbed, Philadelphia - the one where I got to chat with the band

Slayer - Camden NJ - I ended up in the pit and me and another girl had to beat up a 6 foot tall drunk biker - I'm 5'3" and partially disabled - she was like 5'4" and weighed about 98lbs soaking wet. By the time we were done a bunch of guys had to drag him off to save his sorry butt and the security guard behind me was practically rolling on the floor laughing and giving us a round of applause. What can I say - its impolite to drunkenly slam into a girl, nearly knock her over and then call her the b-word. We took offense And if your a girl in the pit at a Slayer concert you had better be able to defend your own honour - even if normally the guys there treat you like you're a Goddess.

I've seen Kenny Chesney 3 times--met him outside of a casino in Mississippi one night after the small show inside the casino (that was before he made it really big). I was just about his biggest fan. Well, until that night anyway. He was a total jerk to the fans. I don't know if he was having a bad night or what. Totally ruined him for me though and while I still like his early music, I'm just not a big fan of 'him' anymore. His shows are great, however. He does put on a wonderful show. He's only about 5'5" too and pretty much bald. He still looks great though in a cowboy hat! lol

I've also seen:

The Eagles (Hell Freezes Over Tour)--my favorite group & awesome show of a lifetime!
Expose
Sawyer Brown
Lorrie Morgan
Bryan Adams (GREAT show)
Three Doors Down (GREAT show)
Martina McBride
Sara Evans
Keith Urban
Carrie Underwood
Brad Paisley
Randy Travis
Marty Brown (anyone remember him?!)
Shakira
Will Smith (GREAT show)
Steve Wariner (GREAT show)
Jo Dee Messina
Jesse McCartney (I have 3 daughters that loved him at the time)
Vince Gill
Lisa Layne (met her too she's very sweet)
Doug Stone (very good show)
Met Wynonna Judd and she was super duper sweet (met ex-husband Roach too)
Travis Tritt
Was going to see Keith Whitley on our high school class trip but he died a few days before we were to see him. Loved him.
John Conlee
Opry numerous times

I've seen a bunch of people, mostly country as I've been a huge country fan my entire life but I also love all classic rock, everything from the 70's and 80's. I'm sure I'll think of more later to add that I've seen. I also have an ex brother-in-law who is an entertainer in country music (wouldn't you like to know ha ha).

I'm glad people listed other concerts too. Here's the ones that come to mind for me. BTW... can you tell I'm a child of the 60's?

Herman's Hermits. I've seen Peter Noone in a solo concert too.
Dave Clark 5
The Animals - They were awesome! I've also seen Eric Burdon perform solo.
The Four Tops
The Temptations
The Four Seasons. That concert almost didn't happen. It was another free show at City Hall Plaza in Boston and Frankie Valle decided at the last minute that he wanted more money. Or so the story goes.
The Turtles
Simon and Garfunkle - That show was not so long ago in 2003.
Sha Na Na - Interesting event ... although I don't remember too much about it.

My first concert ever I saw Herman's Hermits, Davy Jones (Monkees), hhhmmm, crap....there were 2 other bands there....all I can think of is Grass Roots for one of them but I don't think that's right...I'll have to try and search for the names....

My fave concert was when dh and I went to see Kansas (opening band) and Styx. OMG, they were both unbelievable! And Styx was staying in the same hotel dh and I were!

My fave singer/band is Jim Belushi and his blues band. My gf's and I saw them in Vegas and we got to go on stage to sing/dance with him and got some really cool pics.

I have seen these guys a couple times also. Always a lot of fun and very talented. But I have to admit the first time my sweetie drug me to one of their shows, I was doing the eye rolling thing all the way there. I was surprised how much I enjoyed myself.
