When you see a penny or any other coin on the ground do you pick it up or leave it?
I was talking to someone in the store the other day, ( I seen her pick up a penny)
She said she has a jar and puts in all the change she finds in parking lots, store floors, while walking etc. . She said the end of last year she counted all her money up and she had over $11 she had found just while out.
I never thought about it..sometimes I will pick it up if I see a nickel or a dime or more but I rarely pick up pennies. I guess I should start.

I only pick up coins if they are face up. I'm not superstitious but it's something bred into me from my mom. Funny thing is, it was drilled into DH as well so yep, we do but it has to be face up

I always pick up any coins I see, pennies & all. You'd be amazed how many times I am a penny or two short of being ablel to give exact change and those pennies come in handy!

My youngest dd is amazing about finding money. She finds money everywhere we go! Anywhere from pennies to dollars. It's a family joke! She also runs around the open bays at Sonic and finds all kinds of change!

I do the same thing. If I get pennies for change I will drop them in front of the store on the sidewalk. I know when I was a kid I got very excited when I would find a penny on the ground. Now I do pick up nickels or up.

When I was a kid I was like your youngest DD. I remember one time going to a small town fair and finding a roll of money on the ground. My parents had walked right past it. I picked it up and said "Look what I found!" My Dad took it After that he would take me places to hunt for money

Yup, I pick up pennies. I also keep a jar for change. I haven't counted it yet though.

I keep a jar of change also and I always pick up coins. If it's a penny I say the little "see a penny..." but I also make a wish on face up other coins too.

Oh yes!! My whole family picks up loose change. DS was telling me yesterday that he'd found 50¢ while outside playing after school. About the poster picking up money at Sonic, I agree. We've picked up change there too. Usually any fast food parking lot, the checkout lanes at stores and the grocery store parking lot are good spots.

Yep. I pick up everything and it goes into my change jar. That change jar pays for over half of my vacation each year.

This is one of the ways I pay it forward. I always pick up coins that I find. I put them in a bank that when it is full I send to a local food bank. The way I look at it I didn't have the money before and if G-D sent it my way it is for me to help others with. I am always amazed at how much it can add up!!

I have always heard about pennies from heaven. When you find a penny it means someone who has passed is thinking about you.
What was weird was right after my last grandma died I kept finding 3 pennies together. So to me they were for my 2 grandmas and my husband's grandma who I was close to.
I always pick them up. Don't want anyone to think I don't appreciate them thinking about me.

There was a lady from our church who walked a lot and found many coins. She saved them and once a year she gave them to the church. She gave a large amount over the years by doing this.

When I pick up a coin I say "I'M RICH! I'M RICH! IT'S MINE ALL MINE!!!"

I pick up any coins/money I see on the ground.

My dad is great at finding money but he has taken it a little too far. We were on vacation at were sitting at the crazy "Seven Corners" intersection in Northern Virginia when all of a sudden my dad opens his door and leans out!! I was driving and I freaked and screamed "what are you doing???" to which he replied that he saw a quarter laying by the curb and reached out to get it!!! That was one quarter he should have left for someone else!

I pick it up! I find lots of coins, and usually I find quarters for some reason.

About two weeks ago, I found a $20.00 bill on the ground. :-)

I must walk with my head down a lot??? :-) Seriously, I do tend to find money and win things a lot. I should probably be entering more contests. I won Survivor on this board last year!! That was fun!

If it's a penny and it's heads up, I pick it up. If it's heads down, I flip it over so someone else can find a heads up penny. All other change (or bills) I pick up no matter which side!

I love to go for a walk through the plaza parking lot after a big snowfall has melted. There are coins all over the place. Also in the summer when we ride bikes, we go through the car wash bays and people leave their quarters all over the little shelf when they hand wash. Sometimes we find enough to get a bottle of soda from the machine outside the car wash.

I will always bend down to pick up a penny.

My daughters bf found 150 dollars in the gutter outside a restaurant while we were on vacation. We all had a great time on someone elses money.
PS There was NO ONE looking for it or we would have returned it.

I pick up a penny only if it's on heads but I pick up all other money no matter what side it's on.

My mom just cashed in her "found a coin" can and had 33.50 in it. I always pick them up but I dont put them in a seperate container. I just dump them in the change can. I consider them pennies ( or whatever coin it is) from heaven ( from my dad) who used to leave them around for us to find. Just wondering, the folks that dont pick them up. WHY??? Its found free money. Why not pick it up?

I think that is funny, after my BIL died a few years ago, someone gave me poem that said that and so I passed it on to my 7 year old DN. Everytime she saw money she would get so excited and say her dad in heaven threw it down to her. It sure made a tough time a little easier.

I always pick up coins. I have done it since I was a little girl. It's a hard habit to break! I am now pointing coins out to my little girl. She loves to find a penny!

I always pick up a penny. When I first got married my husband would pick them up and I would say "its just a penny" and he would always tell me that it's a penny from heaven, someone thats passed wants to say hi or let you know they are thinking of you. When he died I was taking the information to the local newspaper and when I came out there was a penny by my car door. When I took his clothes to the funeral home there was a penny by the front door. The day of the funeral there was a penny in the bathroom. It goes on and on. I started saving them and keep them with his wedding ring. When I'm having a hard day or feel a little down I always find a penny. My favorite call is from my step-kids telling me they found a penny that day.
