It was another mass feed in down at the lake this morning. Besides the 20 Ospreys I saw, there were great blue herons, egrets, coots, 1 wood stork, what I believe was a brown pelican (I've only ever seen white ones here) and this bird which is called an anhinga .
The fishing was good again for the ospreys. They can hover over a point at the lake for several seconds before they dive in for a catch.
A cold but pretty morning with that cloudless blue sky. The air temp was only in the mid 40's when I was down there.
