We're nearly 90 miles from the Cape but can see the launches fairly well. The nighttime ones are spectacular.

My mom can sit in her living room in her rocker and see them go up at night-time we got to see the one go up in June of 2006 when we were coming back from my father passing away we were on Interstate 4 when everyone stopped to watch it go up awesome sight !

I saw the first ever launch of a space shuttle when I was much younger we were visiting my Grandpa and we drove from Hernando and went to see the launch.
