It was on in my area yesterday...walkie talkies in the grocery store ? That will sure be the day with my dh !

I would LOVE to visit that L.A. area thrift store. If I could, I'd fly to CA ( always wanted to visit L.A. ) just to shop there

Our local thrift store unfortunately does not have these sorts of deals for young people...most of it is in a WAAAYYY small size...

Don't laugh, but when my DH and I lived closer to Atlanta, we went every other weekend or so and hit 14 Targets in one day. We both carried walkie talkies, because if he'd find something and wasn't sure if I'd want it (we used to Ebay), he'd call me. If I found something I couldn't lift or carry, I'd call him. We used to have a blast. That was so much fun.

There's NOTHING fun about the grocery store though (to me, at least), so I can't imagine having them there.

Were they regular walkie talkies or were they Nextel type things? DH and I have Nextels because he needs it for work and I LOVE them! I call him all of the time and it's just lke a walkie talkie. We use them geocacheing, shopping, etc.
