What I don't like about it is how the song is about some creep who told her that she is the last person he'd ever want to date again, and when he comes back to her she says that she figures he's a piece of her life she can't live w/out.
I also *hate* the line that says her life would *suck* w/out him.

To be honest, I did not not know the name of the song, but had heard it several times on the radio. I definitely like the song, as it sounds like a Kelly Clarkson song, and is good. What I can't stand is Britney Spears new song that is smothered with the obnoxiously popular synthesizer, where you thankfully cannot really distinguish her voice.

I've been married for 33 years and hubby and I often have kidded each other about us not having a song. You know? Like a song that is "ours?" Well, after watching Idol the other night - he in the living room and me in the daycare playroom because we don't like to give up control of the remote - after hearing Kelly Clarkson sing "My life would suck without you" I met him halfway through the house - in the kitchen - and we laughed and said at the same time "that's our song". Ain't love grand??? And, at least I watched Kanye West's performance (laughing through the whole thing). Hubby hit that remote button faster than you can imagine as soon as he saw Kanye's droopy pants and the towel hanging out of his back pocket. He admits he's turned into his father. No tolerance for some of these ridiculous new performers.

I love the song. Her performance on AI was awesome!

There was talk about her appearancre on AI and I saw her on Regis and Kelly after that and she looked worse....just so sloppy. I know it is easy to fight the weight battle...but sloppiness is not excusable...especially if you are in the public eye.

The girl needs a stylist. I compare her to Carrie who had some major style errors inflicted on her dress and hair during AI ( so you can't trust them all) but since she has been out on her own, her appearance is just about perfect every time you see her.

I like the song, but think it would be just as good without using the word "suck". I have two teenage boys...I hear that word far more often then I'd like. I'm not a prude and can swear like a truck driver at times but sometimes with music and movies, I think they could be just as effective without the language that is so often used.

Not to hijack this thread, but are you talking about "If You Seek Amy"? That song crawls up my spine as it is so thinly veiled as to what she is really saying. My kids are all over 18, but it still bothers me immensely.

That girl can sing... sadly, I have a hard time comprehending the lyrics of almost any rock song and I love rock'n'roll! I need subtitles with the bouncing ball at the bottom of the screen.

Her voice is right up there with Heart's Ann Wilson. She is another female singer that can just belt it out (which is appealing to me for some reason!). I generally want to only listen to male singing voices so this is saying a lot.
