I had lasix in Nov, and now, my eyes are soooooooooooo dry. My dr put me on restasis, and I wonder if it really works. I have a huge deductible, and my first box cost me $105.xx. It will last me 15 days. Is this going to help. I also got plugs put in my tear ducts. any thoughts?

I had lasix done too because my eyes were so dry I couldn't keep contacts in. I would think you would have some improvement by now, but since you haven't I would ask for more plugs, it might even be included in the cost of the procedure, you'd have to ask. It could be taking a while because the winter is so dry too, so many one more round of the plugs would be the answer.

And ask for some samples of the Restasis at the doctor, they might have some or ask if you can use any over the counter drop because it's so expensive. And does your insurance cover any part of the cost? You can call around to the different pharmacies and get a better price possibly, so don't just go with your usual place. Our RX insurance runs out by December because my husband is on so many heart medications and our usual place is twice as much as Walmart.
