was just flipping through the channels and came across this show and kate is making pic's of the kids poop! Now I myself made tons of pics of our daughter when she was little and kept her baby book right up till she started her monthy ( which creeped her out) but I didnt make pic's of her sitting with her poop! I find this a little bit extreme ( no... ALOT extreme) Is it just me or what? did everyone make pic's of their kids first potty poop? Is my daughter missing out cause I didnt( I really believe she would kill me if I had!!)
just wondering. ( probably cause its a rainy day and there isnt crap on tv. except the Jon & Kate's kids crap) loll

Littlejo, I am confused - what did her 'monthly' have to do with stopping taking pictures? Is there a connection between that and 'poop pictures'? Sorry if it's obvious and I'm just having brain freeze!

The only time I took a picture that could be considered... well, along those lines... was when my 3 month old infant had what appeared to me to be a rectal prolapse. I didn't want to just describe it to the doctor - I figured if I had a digital camera and could take a picture of it and show the Dr. when I was in there on my camera screen that a dx would be easier for him to achieve. Sure enough, it was very helpful for him!

But poop pix? Um... no! lol

That makes perfect sense taking the pic for the doctor. I'm sure he was grateful. I've done strange things like that too. My my ds was little and had lots of allergy troubles on the way to the doc once he had some "discharge" from his nose that I wiped and saved and sure enough she (doc) wanted to see it! lol The things we moms do!
As far as Jon and Kate-I used to watch them but I can't stand her. She's so controlling and sometimes just mean to her hubby that I won't watch it anymore. Poop pics-totally weird and disgusting. Why did they show that anyway? So much for editing!

I didnt stop taking pictures, i stopped UPDATING her baby book when she got her period. kate made pics of the little kids sitting beside the potty and the poop. you could see the poop for crying out loud. those kids are gonna hate those pics when they grow up and probably the whole t.v thing since it shows some pretty bad stuff . Aka, their mom yelling at their dad.
But the poop picutres really got my attention and I was wondering if anyone else did this. lol

yeah i saw that eppy and thought it was werid myself. I hear that Jon is staying at his mom's house some and partying with coed at the near by college. I wondered how long it would be til he went looking elsewhere...lol.

Those poor exploited children. Imagine having such embarrassing things on television for your peers to see for years. The poor boy who was constipated and had it broadcast to millions that his dad used a plastic to pull feces out of his bottom. Mady having meltdowns and "I hate Mady" groups online. Information that a couple of them like to suck the ears of stuffed animals.

I didn't take pictures of that 'moment', but I have friends who did. They are super avid scrapbookers and I'm sure they have pictures of every (and I do mean every, no matter how small) milestone in their child's lives.

Personally, that is a moment that I don't think is a 'kodak moment', but I guess some people do.

Takes all kinds and certainly not something that we've done. I might have (!) but my DH would have been so appalled and not happy about it so...

I do have some very cute pictures of my kids in the bathtub. I have strategically placed stickers over *parts* in the photo album. We won't bring them out when they bring their future girlfriends over but they are fun memories.

I've never taken pictures of my kids poop before. I think that's pretty disgusting. Who in the world would want to look at that? Ewwwwwww. The only reason I might is for medical reasons that posters stated in the above posts. ~Lisa

My hubby is very private. If I took pictures of poo, he would think I was nuts. I took a pic of my little boy in the tub once he thought it was close to porn so I tore the pic up and just have the happy memories in my head. It's not worth the spilt milk. I'm glad my husband is a little bit stringent on the issues.

i've taken tub shots of my kids when they were under 3. i dont think its a big deal. The water & bubbles is hiding everything I even have that naked butt shot...lol. You know when they first learn how to lift their head up and their on their belly and you see a head and naked little butt. But we dont have them in pic frames or anything..hehehe.
