Hi, and welcome!

I can only speak from personal experience. In the late '90's, tons and tons of things were offered for free and we really did get them. That doesn't seem to happen too much anymore. In fact, about three years ago, I applied for a new credit card due to a promise that I'd receive an Ipod (I think it was actually posted on the MC Shopping Boards, in fact). However, it's three years later and I still haven't received my Ipod.

Supposedly there are people that have actually received one. I never met one.

I always go by the rule of thumb, that if it sounds too good to be true....it usually is.

The only way I know to get them is to go by a reputable "pyramid scheme" company. My younger brother did one of them years ago (I have no idea which one) and he did receive a Nintendo DS. (I was shocked that it actually arrived...)
