| It was a small goal...but I met it!!!
In January, I wrote that I wanted to run a mile. I know that's nothing for many of you, but for this old woman, it was a big deal! LOL! I've been training slowly since the beginning of the year, and today I ran a mile in the Race for A Cure. My time was horrible...13.05 minutes...but I'm the tortise, slow and steady! HA HA. When I finished, I walked/ran a 5 K. Thanks for the encouragement and tips. --Marilou

Hey...don't you put yourself down. You did a great job! 13.05 is wonderful! I work at a local high school and they just had to do the mile run....most of the 15/16 year olds did not do a mile in 13.05. Yeah for you!!!!!! I am up to three miles in 40 minutes, but I alternate between a run and a fast walk. I think you should be very proud of yourself!
