Need song suggestions

My husband and I are making a dvd of pictures set to music of our son for his baptims coming up soon. I need help with song suggestions. The only one we've found so far that we like is Amazing, by Janelle(sp?). These will just be pictures from the time he was a baby thru now, and he'll be 8.
Thank you!
Becky

Not sure if you are sticking with religious or other types of music. The following are 'generic' suggestions:

Songs from the "Return to Pooh Corner" album by Kenny Loggins. They're all beautiful.

How about "Real Good-Looking Boy" by The Who?

If looking for more Christian music:

"Jesus, Let Us Come to Know You" by Michael Card

We are not looking for religious songs, just ones for the dvd with pics of him growing thru the years.

Did he have any favorites as a toddler? My kids were into Raffi forever.....or think of theme songs that drove you nuts.... (Dora!) Sesame Street or whatever was big back then....good memories for him! Or classic......"wheels on the bus" for the going to school pics, "when your happy and you know it" etc etc etc.

So far I have these picked out,
Somewhere over the rainbow/What a wonderful world by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
You are my Sunshine by Elizabeth Mitchell
Amazing by Janelle

You can listen to these all for free on Rhapsody, anyway, I'm still looking for maybe one or two more, hopefully to go along with the feel of these songs.

What about "Sunrise, Sunset" from the Fiddler on the Roof? It is a song about children growing up.

They played the song "Time of Your Life" (?) at a friends sons baptism a few years ago. I think that is the name of the song.....It fit perfectly with the pictures because she showed him playing in sports and having fun, making faces....it worked perfectly.

You must be proud of him being baptized. Congratulations!!!!!

It looks like you have already picked some of the songs that I always love singing to my kids (esp. You Are My Sunshine), so we must have the same tastes. The one that I'm thinking of that hasn't been mentioned is Close to You by the Carpenters. I LOVE singing that to my kids.

On the day that you were born, the angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true . . .
