Congratulations - I hope yours doesn't turn out to be a little furry vampire / baby crocodile like the one we adopted this December is (lol). I keep saying eventually he WILL grow out of this.

Wish I could convince her new sister she is cute. My other kitty does not understand why I have brought home such an ugly, smelly creature. She finds her repulsive.
New kitty is about 9 1/2 weeks, a Ragdoll. She is the perfect combination of playful and snuggly. No vampire or crocodile tendencies seen yet, but she has drawn a little blood. She can growl like a rotweiller over her favorite little toys. And she has a cry that sounds like a seagull.

Oh, she's beautiful!! One of my cats is a ragdoll mix. She is the most lovable cat you could ever want. She's also easy maintenance. Even with her longish fur, she seldom gets mats.

My favorite thing to do with her is put her around my neck like a boa.

I've managed to get 7 rescued kitties to co-exist. That isn't to say we don't have fights, squabbles, very loud discussions and sometimes bloodshed and flying fur. But they manage. Its always the last few cats we got that throw the biggest fit - last in, first to fight. The older ones are like - its never worked before, why should I complain this time - and then they go find someplace to take a nap thats semi-hidden.

It doesn't help that Mr Nicholas Von Icklestein the vampire is such a rotten little boy. I think he literally came out of the womb knowing he as an alpha male. Interestingly enough its my one female tortie calico thats giving him the most trouble - he's clearly identified her as the main competition. But they do play together sometimes now and eat out of bowls next to each other - between wrestling matches. In time he will grow out of this, or she will beat it out of him - either or.
