I need a decent haircut so badly it's awful! I'm not sure what I want to do with it, and could use ideas. Hubby would freak out if I cut it short again. Here's what I've got: a round face, bangs, hair that comes to the top of my bra strap, all one length (except for the bangs, obviously). I usually wear it straight, parted to the side. It's naturally wavy from about half way down my head to the ends. It's medium to light brown. I'm in my late 30's. HELP!!!

Well, my hair was basically how you described, I just got it cut..

Now it's shoulder length, with long layers in the back and face framing layers on the sides. I also put some blond highlights in.

I say look through all the fashion and gossip magazines for someone with a face shape similar to yours and hair texture similar to yours. Find some cuts you like and cut them out take them to your stylist.

I use to have long, lush, and thick thick thick hair....and while I always got compliments on it; I always hated the time and energy it took to fix it. So, I had mine cut super, duper short (Posh Spice pixie cut short). And oh my! I love it! I still get compliments on my hair, and for fun and excitement I color it---some pretty "bright" colors!

My theory on the men loving long hair goes back to the cavemen days when they used to drag their women around by the hair!! I always hear girls say that their SO would hate them in short hair, but how do you know if you don't try. They would be getting a whole new woman! I personally think long, straight hair is so dated. Layers that frame your face are the way to go, imo.

My hair is about like Mariah's, darker brown & no bangs though, I just cannot stand to have hair in my face! It is hitting the top of my jeans (when wet, past my bra strap when dry, it's semi-curly). I have no problem chopping it to somewhere between my shoulders &/or chin length but I can't do any shorter. I'm not sure if my face is round or oval, just chubby all around I guess
