DH and DS1 were on their way back to college (1000 miles)....DS1 is keeping a car at school since the semester will be over in six weeks and he can drive his stuff home then. Well, the car blew the turbo about 100 miles into New York. It was at least $300 (I didn't see the bill) to get it towed home. They just now left again, taking DS's car this time - the one that blew was my Saab. I was letting him take mine as I didn't trust his for the long trip.

Anyhow, while all this is going on, I get a call from my Visa card company asking me to verify a bunch of charges that were made today ($200, $179, $1280) in Flushing, NY. I guess it tripped something when I made a purchase myself at Target in my neighborhood.... Card was cancelled and I won't be liable...but dang, it just makes me feel violated, ya know?

Anyhow, that's my sob story for today....I did run 5 miles today though...and it was an absolutely beautiful day weather-wise.

My day was so-so. It's rainy and the kids have been out of school all week. They have way too much pent up energy.

Gee CJ I'm sorry your day was expensive and unsettling.
It sucks to have a vehicle break down away from home. You are never sure which is the best route to go, have it transported home or try to have it fixed where it died.

I worked 8:30 - 5 and now we are getting dumped on with up to 8 inches of snow. And I get to work again tomorrow. :-)

donnaquilt - we are in the TC metro area and thanking G*d we aren't further north w/the Red River flooding stuff. There's going to be snow in WI?!
