Television, texting, IMs, video games, Xbox live, myspace/facebook, internet dating, The Cafe......

Is face to face human interaction a thing of the past? Or do these things simply enrich life and relationships? Do you have more online "friends" than real life friends?

What do you think about technology and where it's headed? Good or bad?

This may not help much but I feel it's like anything else: tv, airplanes, guns, cars, books, food--it has the potential to be either "good" or "bad" depending on how it's used.

In some ways it's a shame that people are not interacting but think of the time saved by just texting "I will be there in a few minutes" instead of spending an hour on the phone with someone.

I think it's great... you get to "meet" people outside of what you're used to. If I didn't have internet, all I would ever know is more southerners.. not that there is anything wrong with southerners.. heck I'm one too, but I've talked to people from all over the world sitting in my own home!

good and bad. For me, the things I use don't get in the way of my life. Then again, I know some people who have NO life without texting, the internet or their cell phone.

I don't text or have a cell phone but the people I work with can't function without texting. I can do english, latin, pig latin,ebonics,emoticons and shorthand I am not ready to learn texting language.

being a sahm it's nice, through online games I've met some really great people. texting to ask a quick question its ok, to carry on a conversation it's more time consuming that dialing and talking

Sometimes I think that some of these technologies have brought about more harm than good. For example, the internet has to some degree enabled sexual predators/pedophiles, porn addictions, etc....by making these things easier.

I guess with technology comes responsbility, but as we know from so many other things any more, responsibility and common sense just aren't so common any more.
