My daughter got a gift for her birthday and they have no receipt to return it (she already has the same item). But I believe the item was purchased online somewhere. Could it be returned to walmart?

can return like 3 things per year or something like that without a reciept. if was on sale and has turned into a clearance item then you get back the clearance price <bought a shirt $25 on clearance for $4, you get $4> they will probably only give it back to you on a walmart gift card so you have to use it in the store also. make sure you have ID, they wouldnt let my grandmother who hasnt drove in about 6 years return some things without ID so she had me return them while i was visiting

Is there a time limit on returns do you know? I bough the kids 2 DVD's and I had put them away and totally forgot about them and now I don't think they would even be interested in having them. I am pretty sure I can find the receipt, I keep all of them, but if I don't can I still bring them back? They were Wall-E and Ariel's New Beginning (?).

just returned a shirt here in mn and I got my cash back without a receipt. she said I could do 3 returns in six months without a receipt. She just scanned the UPC and I assume the computer tells how much I get back. Not a problem. So if the DVD's are in the computer system at walmart, you'd get your money back I assume. I won't go to TARGET again to buy anything of substance with their return policy so stringent. I felt like a criminal trying to return a Target sheet set at Christmas.

I know that Walmart does have some of their vendors alter the usual UPC, to prevent returns on items not bought either through their website or at a BM store.
if the UPC on a pkg of cookies is 123456789, Walmart will have the vendor add a letter to the end of the numbers. Just an FYI.

I heard a guy on the radio today say his XBox got the red ring of death and he stuffed it into the box and took it back to WalMart even though he didn't buy it there and got a full cash refund. I'm not saying it's right I just point it out to say they must have a very liberal return policy.
