?? regarding a 2 yo

Yep, this is my 3rd child. My baby girl is SOOOO different than her 2 brothers.. Man they were easy!

The boys were 8 mos old and easily gave up paci's and bottles.

Ellie gave up paci's easy.. but still takes 1 bottle when she wakes up and 1 before bed. Sippy cups or straws all other times. There is 2 parts.. she is on the go ALL day. The bottle.. lets her snuggle with me in the morning. Same at night... but I want to stop the bottle... I know going to bed with a bottle is not good.
SO without completely affecting my only quiet time.. her sleeping
How do I take the bottles away without total disruption??

Then on to ?? #2
How do you stop a screaming child??
She screams... when she doesn't get her way. When she is having fun. Just screams. She is getting a decent vocabulary and can get her wants accross.. so I dont see it as frustration... but I think she likes to hear it

TIA josie

No real answers for you, I have 2 girls, and man I was glad when my last one was a boy... They are so much easier, my girls are sandwiched in between my boys, so I knew what having a boy was like before the girls came along... They do love to scream, sometimes just to hear themselves... I have no suggestions on the bottle, because my 3 year old, still will drink bottles of water when she goes to bed... You pick your battles I guess! Good luck and welcome to the world of girls!

If you still want that snuggle time how about water only in the bottle. That way the bottle will not be so yummy so she might settle just for the snuggle.

We suffered through the screams and we put water in the bottle like one poster suggested. DD wanted milk, not water so she took the sippy. No other advise other than Tylenol for your headaches LOL If it's any consolation, my screamer is now a mellow kid. She turned mellow around age 2 and has been since (she's almost 8)

Years ago I heard a radio program that when you were training a cat you used a spray bottle of water and sprayed the cat when they were bad.
Right around that time we had a problem with my oldest granddaughter screaming for no reason so I got out the spray bottle and filled it with water and squirted her. She was astonished and NEVER screamed for no reason again.I have passed on this hint to many mothers who have had this same problem and they said that it works like magic. One little spritz does the trick.

My kids would probably scream just so they could get squirted.

HAHAHAHA! I did the same to my Ex (maybe that's why he's my ex?) He would get grumpy and grouchy and be talking mean to me.. so one day I got mad.. grabbed the water bottle I squirted the cats with and squirted him square in the face. Needless to say, he shut up
