This isn't bartering, but there are a lot swap groups on line. You list things you want to get rid of and get credits for them when someone else claims them. Then you use your credits to claim things that others have posted. You pay postage to send your own items. It's kind of hard to explain...I hope you know what I mean.

I barter for tons of stuff. I use craigslist to do it locally and have traded on the garage sale board. I do childcare in my home and have bartered that during slow times to get things or services I need. I don't bother with most of the online groups as I've been able to do what I need to on craigslist and other communities I belong too.

I do it. I had a fireplace guy come out to check something out and traded him a lb of fresh roasted coffee for his services. We barter physical labor help from neighbors using beer which is much cheaper than paying someone to come out and do it. I have offered a barter of my products for services at businesses but am usually turned down. One said corporate said NO WAY and another said that they don't know how to keep those kinds of records for tax purposes. I told them how I do but they didn't seem interested.
