Just finished "How to cook a wolf" by M.F.K. Fisher - written in 1942. A funny helpful book about cooking and some about life. Started "Grace from the garden - changing the world one garden at a time" by Deborah Landwehr Engle. How gardens help cities and people and hwo they can change situations and people wsorking on them. |

| War with the Newts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Found it in a used bookstore, and while the translation seems a bit clunky, it's decent so far. |

I love that book, too! I just finished The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and now I'm reading The Solace of Leaving Early by Haven Kimmel.

I am re-reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It's about a woman who overcame a bizarre family life to become a college educated best selling writer. A truly gut-wrenching but enthralling book!!!

I just finished 2 this weekend, True Colors by Kristin Hannah and The Returning by Ann Tatlock, both pretty good, nothing earth shattering but they kept my interest. I tried Edgar Sawtell and just could not get into it. It's still around here somewhere but if it doesn't grab me I won't finish it. I do like Dan Brown and I read the Time Traveler's Wife, it was awesome! Long from what I remember, but worth the time.

I can't recommend enough the book "I Love a Man in Uniform: A Memoir of Love, War, and Other Battles" by Lily Burana. I read it in 2 sittings. I would have read it all at once but work got in the way. Fantastic.
