Vodka Collins - Vodka, lemon juice, powdered sugar, carbonated water. I actually like my better with lime juice instead of lemon, but that's the standard.

Cranberry juice and Absolute Vodka. Yum!

Another one I like is Midori, Malibu Rum, pineapple juice and a shot of creamer. Very smooth!

I am more of a beer type of gal...Give me a nice cold Sam Adams double bock, or a Killians Irish Red Ale, and I am a happy woman. Now...put me on sandy warm beach...and I could go for a mixed drink. Something with pineapple would be nice!

You are lucky if you can get a bartender to make one from scratch, usually they just use sour mix (like for a whiskey sour or margarita)

I love a good margarita from scratch on the rocks with salt! or a seabreeze made with ruby red grapefruit juice....dang...is it happy hour yet?!?

I normally drink mudslides, the pre-mixed ones. (loads easier that way.... ) I also like a good margarita, with salt please. Oh and I've had a few mango martinis......they are out of this world!

I don't really drink any more, but back in the day I love Kamikazies!!

Kamikazie

* 1 oz. Triple Sec
* 1 oz. Vodka
* 1 oz. Lime Juice
* 1 wedge Lime

I do enjoy a pina colada once or twice a year. YUM!!

Rum
Coconut milk
pineapple juice

Living in New Orleans, I used to drink a lot of hurricanes! I actually had a few last summer in San Antonio, they are still yummy!!

I too am a beer girl. . .I'll take a Newcastle over a mixed drink anyday. However, a good blended margarita has it's place with me. The other one I like is a Beautiful, half Gran Marnier and half congac (Courvoiser or Hennessey).

I go through phases. Right now my favorite is a Blended Mojito. It's made with Rum, Lime Juice, Mint Leaves, Sugar, and Club Soda and the Blended part is that I love it all thrown in the blender. It's very yummy.

See, I tried that because I don't really drink alcohol any more, but the rum is a huge part of the flavor and the virgin one is just not the same, so once in a great while, I get the blender out and make one with rum. It's so good.

I only drink alcohol a few times a year. Then it is a strawberry margarita with sugar on the glass, not salt.

I'm must be really boring, but I love love love my Bombay Saphire (gin) on the rocks with only a splash of diet tonic water. If I want something sweet and fruity I like a midori sour, midori and bar sour with a cherry on top.

My newest fave is Sangria - brandy (I use apricot brandy), triple sec, red wine, OJ, lemonade concentrate, lemon juice, carbonated water, fruit (lemons, limes, oranges, cherries).

I also like Amaretto Sours - amaretto / sweet and sour mix

I haven't had a mixed drink in a while-the sugars don't sit too well w/ me. I do enjoy an occasional Bloody Mary or Mimosa if we go out for brunch, and I have been known to throw back a few cosmos. Other than that, I pretty much stick to wine and an occasional beer.

Bloody Mary first tried it years ago and didn't like it. Tried it again a few months ago because it looked so good when my husband tried one and I lived it! Funny thing is my husband didn't like it (too spicy)
so I just had to finish it. I've wasted all these years not drinking them. Oh well guess I have to make up for lost time.

Bloody Mary's can be great. . .they can be awful too. I think it really depends on who's making them. I used to have a friend that was a bartender and she made the BEST ones. They were spicy and soo good. I rarely ever drink one though. . you never know for sure if you're going to get a good one.

I don't know too much about drinks but someone told me it depends on the type of vodka. I only order from this one restaurant that I know is good. It has shrimp and olives and is just spicy enough without being too strong.
