Book help needed!

Can anyone recomend a good book for a 16 year old boy?
He is interested in video games, history and politics.
I would prefer a novel but I will look into any you might think would interest him.
Thanks!

Ender's Game is the perfect book for your son. It does have a video game in it.

All those listed above (esp. the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson).

He might enjoy the author Ken Follett. My 16yr old son is on his third book by him. So far he's read Code to Zero, Jackdaws and is now reading Hornet Flight. They are set during World War 2 and are full of action.

The Alex Rider series by Anthony Horrowitz is also great for boys.

I don't know much about 16yr old boys, but I loved Mutiny on the Bounty. I didn't want to read it because I thought it was a "boy" book, but ended up loving it and reading the trilogy. Has he read The Hobbit yet? That's another great series.

ETA- Lord of the Flies was another one of my favorites that I think he might like.
