How sad. Remember Maude? That was a spin off from All in the Family which besides Happy Days had more spin offs than any other show.

I love her! I still watch The Golden Girls every morning and I know every single episode.

God Bless Her she gave us lots of laughs!

Rest in peace.... you'll make them laugh in heaven now with all the other great ones that have passed.... Peace. Catherine

What sad news. I remember her from Maude & from when she appeared on All In The Family, as Edith's cousin.
I watch Goden Grils just about every day too.
Another really good star is now gone.

Ahhh. . .that's sad. I used to love her as Maude. . .she would give Archie a run for his money. . lol! I do remember hearing before that she had cancer. Does anybody know what kind? Well. .. it sounds like she died peacefully with her family. . .I guess that's all you can ask for. RIP Bea.

Oh man, that stinks. When my 10 year old was little I used to watch Maud every night when I was up late with him....the theme song was one of his first lullabies....he loved that song.

Lady Godiva was a freedom rider
She didnt' care if the whole world looked.
Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her
She was a sister who really cooked.

Isadora was the first bra burner
Ain't you glad she showed up. (Oh yeah)
And when the country was falling apart
Betsy Ross got it all sewed up.

And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's Maude.
And then there's

That old compromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranquilizing,
Right on Maude.

She was a wonderful woman. Shy and reserved, but very strong spirited. From Maude to Golden Girls, she always made me smile.

Her home is on a beautiful cul de sac in Beverly Hills. Her next door neighbor is S. Combs and across the street from her is Kathy Bates.

She will be missed.
