Smile Take a Walk With Me Around World Showcase!

My daughter and I left for EPCOT around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. Traffic was light and we made good time arriving about 45 minutes later. Sharon needed a coffee so we made our usual Dunkin Donuts stop.

Because we were only doing World Showcase, I had her park at the Beach Club. The Beach Club is closer to WS and any steps I can save works for me. This also served another purpose as Sharon had never seen the whole Boardwalk area.

The BC is one of my favorite hotels.

We walked into EPCOT along the canal. Another thing my back and legs don't like are any type of hills so we went under the bridge. When we came out one of the ferries was just passing by.

And there we were at EPCOT's Flower & Garden Festival!

We headed off to the right hitting France first.

Then we went in and saw the movie. My goodness, that thing is getting so dated! People smoking, women wearing fur coats... shocking! I love the music though.

Morocco was next and I was starting to notice the LACK of crowds. This is the first trip we've had up there in ages that it hasn't been mobbed. Good deal!

Sharon checked out the menu. As a vegetarian, she's always on the lookout for something she can eat at Disney that's different. Morocco had some interesting choices and we decided to come back there later.

After that it was Japan. They were doing some work on the area where the drummers perform so that was off limits. We wandered around and checked out the gardens, the architecture and the store.

I also stopped and got a Kaki Gori. Next to the Dole Whips, that's my favorite Disney drink.

There were no shows yesterday at the stage in American so we kept on walking. Here's a few pictures from Italy.

I think we walked through every store at WS. Didn't buy anything but looking is fun too. I loved the glass blown castle at Germany. And it was only $32,500!

On to China.

Then Norway where unfortunately the ride was out of order. For all you Deadliest Catch fans.

There wasn't much in the way of women's clothing.

Norway is really beautiful.

We finally finished the loop at Mexico.

Can I tell you how much I hate what they did to the ride in Mexico? It use to be somewhat cute but now it's just annoying with Donald yelling and screaming the whole way through. I don't think I'll be going on that again for a very long time.

So we made our way completely around WS and it was now supper time. I wanted fish and chips in England. I got my dinner and we sat and watched the Beatles while I ate.

England is another very pretty area with all their roses.

On our way to England we met up with two ducks that followed up for quite a while. It always cracks me up that ducks seem to like to walk as much as they like to fly.

Here are a couple of other shots I took while we were walking around.

Then Sharon went back to Morocco for her dinner. After that it was getting on towards 8 pm so we wandered for a while and then I went and bought my Tinkerbell dish/butterfly feeder. I got a blue one and it looks really pretty out in my garden.

We headed back towards Canada to watch the fireworks. It had gotten really windy so they didn't shoot the rockets off from the edge of the lake. I love this show but, after nearly 10 years of seeing it, it's time to do something new. Better still... they should bring back the original Illumination. That was my favorite one ever!

Then we staggered back to the Beach Club.

We were going to get something at Beaches and Cream but, the line was so long, we decided to just get out of Dodge. We arrived back home around 10:15.

It was a really fun afternoon/evening. Even better... it was a non-crowded EPCOT visit!

Thank you so much for sharing! I may not make it there and these photos are wonderful. You really take a good picture based on what you have posted here now and in the past.

Beautiful pictures!

My DH and boys will be beside themselves if I show them the Northwestern shirts. We'll be at Disney in June and I'm betting one of them will end up with one.

And I've never seen The British Invasion (if that is indeed them?) dressed in Sergeant Pepper's gear before! I hope they're there in another month or so!

Thanks for posting! I enjoy your Disney posts and pics!

We were planning on going back the end of Sept this year but since #4 surprised us, we aren't going. It'll be quite a few years till we can get back again, now.

I'll have to live thru your posts and pics! LOL

I maybe going to Disney World for a Conference on Immune Deficiencies in June and staying at my mom's in Winter Haven we have to be at the Contemporary Resort for the Welcome Reception on June 18th at 5:00 PM and the other two days we have to be there at 7:00 AM. How long should I allow for driving time?

I am just waiting to hear if our scholarship was approved its for the whole family they have a whole program for kids and parents alike. If I get there any chance we could meet up somewhere after the Conference Virgo? we plan on staying a week after its done.

The pictures as always are beautiful you should sell prints or postcards of them they are just awesome !

I'd allow myself at least 45 minutes to get from WH to Disney. The traffic in WH can be heavy at times and you'll be heading up to Disney during rush hour. When we go, we normally don't leave until 10 a.m. or later and we're closer by about 10 miles so we can make it up there in about 25 minutes.

It would be fun to meet up. Let me see how things go. My husband is having surgery later on this month but he should be fine by the time you get here. PM me when you're getting ready to come down.

BTW, my daughter and I are off to the Disney Studios this morning. Yes, it's true... I AM a Disney junkie!

As Floridians we get some really good deals. My daughter's recent conversion to a Disneyholic was a shock so initially I had a 3 parks in 6 months ticket (that's one park per visit... no park hopping). You have the option of turning that in on your third visit and getting a Florida Residents Seasonal Pass that is good for 6 months with blackout dates (high volume times like June thru the first half of August and several weeks during Spring break) for only $125 or so. Those tickets do include park hoping. Another 3 parks in 6 months ticket would have been $120 so it's a really good deal.
