Saturday at the Disney Studios

Wow! Two trips up there in 6 days. I'm a Disney pig!

We got up to the Studios around 9:45 and were standing in front of Toy Story Mania at 10 shocked that there was already a 70 minute wait and the Fast Passes were being doled out for 3 p.m. I sort of have a rule I follow and it's I won't wait in line for more than 45 minutes. I can walk for quite a while but standing still in a line absolutely kills my back. Realizing that the wait was probably not going to improve as the day went on, I resigned myself to the discomfort and we joined the mob.

The wait area is really cute, however it would have been just as cute if we were in there for 15 minutes and not the actual 90 minutes it took to get on the ride.

This was the slowest line I've ever been in for Disney. I purposely went on this knowing very little about it but I did know that the cars come in at regular intervals. There were times when the line didn't move at all for at least 5 minutes or more.

Finally we got up to the Mr. Potato Head character. That was fun and the effects were really cool.

By the time we got to the stairs, all I could think of was this ride better be worth the wait. Well.... IT WAS!!! It was amazing and, because it lasted quite a while, it seemed to make the wait worth while. Still, now that I've seen the wait area, I don't think torture could make me stand there for any longer than 30 minutes tops.

After that it was off to the ToT for me.

TSM may have a bonus effect for ToT lovers. There was next to no line there. I got a FP and by the time I finished my first ride it was time to use the FP and go on again.

After that we went and got some food and then headed over to the Back Lot Tour. As we were waiting for it to start the CM there asked for volunteers and I raised my hand. She asked my daughter if she wanted to be in it too and I said yes. Sharon was So off we went to get dressed in water proof coveralls. Sharon and I were the deck hands. When they blew up the charges in the water we got soaked. Felt good though as it was in the upper 80's by now. Too bad Disney doesn't take pictures of your movie career. I actually would have purchased one.

More of the tour.

When we got out of there we did Star Tours.

We also went in to see the Muppet Movie.

We were going to try and catch the 4 p.m. show at the Idol Experience and thought we had enough time to go through The GMR as it was only about 3:25. Turns out we missed Idol by just a few minutes. Next time.

We took one more walk by TSM just to see what the wait time was. I really loved that ride but there was no way I was doing another long line. The wait time was now 80 minutes so we decided to leave. I really wanted to be home in time to see the Kentucky Derby.

A couple more pictures.

This picture cracks me up. Mickey's pointing and there's a guy in the background doing almost the exact same pose.

So it was fun times but lots of walking. I don't know what it is about the Studios but I usually get lost in there.

Not sure when we'll be up there again. She mentioned tomorrow afternoon!

I'm so jealous! LOL

I didn't get to ride the Toy Story ride last time. The wait was way too long. Hubby took Eryn and they went on it while my mom and I took Naysa back to the hotel. They both liked it. I was disappointed that I didn't get to ride it, but there was NO WAY I was waiting that long. I was already grumpy cause it was so dang hot and me waiting over an hour for a ride would NOT have been a good thing. LOL
