| old books
My mother passed away last year and I have come across some old books she had. They are mostly 1800's - early 1900's. Just wondering if they are worth anything. They look nice and I don't want to just throw them away. I don't think they are first additions, but I haven't looked at all of them yet. Does any one know of a website that I can get the info I need to see just what I have. Thanks |

I would google the title of the book and start doing research with the info you find. See what others are selling it for and/or getting for it. Call some bookstores in your area and ask if they specialize in old books or if they know who does. Call your local university and ask if they have anyone there who can help. How to find the value of old books? | Ask Metafilter Book Values - Free Book Price Guide - Author Signatures - eBay Selling and Buying Guide Your Old Books Guide to Establishing Value of Old Books & Journals: OSU Library Guides In the meantime I hope some of these sites will help.

Perhaps take them to an antique dealer to see what they say. You could also just enter the titles and year on google and see what comes up!!
