Blue Jeans Problem...

I always wear out the knees on my blue jeans. If they are not ripped, they are worn looking. Also, my jeans sometimes lose their shape. Anyone have a favorite brand that holds up really well?

Are you buying jeans that are supposed to look that way? May sound like a dumb question, but I've never heard of an adult wearing out the knees of their jeans unless the jeans were distresssed to begin with......or you lay tile for a living....or something that has you on your knees a lot.

I'm always on the floor with my kids - blocks, games, whatever! I don't buy distressed jeans, because I dont feel I need the head start!

My favorite jeans now are Bke's and Big Star. They're a little costly but hold up really well, especially if you hang dry them.

I'm the same way! I always wear out my knees.

My favorite jeans are still good old Levi's. I wash all my jeans on gentle cycle, and hang them to dry......This has helped quite a bit. Once they are dry, I'll toss them in the dryer for a few minutes with no heat, to soften 'em up a bit.

If you can, try to buy men's/boy's jeans. They really are made better and of tougher material.

If you iron, (hey, some people don't iron!) iron your jeans and use spray starch. It will help the jeans hold their shape, and help repel stains.

When you buy jeans, buy iron-on patches. Turn jeans inside out and iron the patch on the inside of the jeans. This will help keep the knees from wearing out as quickly.

Levis, Wranglers, Rockies and Lawman jeans are some of my favorites. Also might want to try Carheart jeans---all of these are made for those who have to wear jeans as part of their jobs--thus they are usually made of thicker denim and sewn better than designer jeans.
