| I'll miss Simon too. I hope it's not the case tho, that they brought her in for his replacement. If it's true, I won't be watching it anymore.

| Good one! She is boring. A lot of my friends quit watching AI because it's too predictable. The ratings have still been dropping this season with the changes. I read where AI plans on having the same 4 judges again next season, so I don't think Simon is leaving. I don't watch it every week this season. Almost all of the preformances have been "forgetable" to me (as Simon calls them). I probably remember the awful ones more than any others. When Simon does leave, the show won't last long.

I don't think she adds anything to Idol. If Simon leaves AI, I think the show will go too. Simon really is the only one that actually gives those kids a real opinion. The rest of them are too 'gushy' (oh, you were wonderful, the best, dawg.) I swear I wish they would fine Randy every time he says 'dawg'!!! I'd like to see him gone!! |

First of all, I do not like her. Now, as for Simon. He said he will be here next year for sure. He "might" leave after that, but not sure. He has way too many jobs. I can't imagine the show without him, though. I love all three judges.

I can't stand her. I'm sick of her obvious lust of the contestants. She grunts and groans every time she sees one she wants. It's unseemly for a judge to act that way and who is she to judge anyone, anyway? I don't even know who she is or her what her (small) claim to fame might be, if she even has one I never heard of her until she joined American Idol.

| Who is she anyway? Quote:
and according to Wikipedia: While her early solo and band efforts did not result in commercial success, she became a highly sought-after songwriter, writing or co-writing many international hit songs from 1999 to today. The majority of her songs have been recorded by American female artists in the pop/rock genre, with a significant minority of songs recorded by Australian females, and Latin music artists. DioGuardi has worked with Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, David Archuleta, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Leona Lewis, Hilary Duff, Demi Lovato, Belinda, Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Paula Abdul, and now, with the end of season 8 of American Idol, Kris Allen. DioGuardi can be heard performing backup vocals on some of these recordings. DioGuardi co-owns Arthouse Entertainment, a publishing company that is a resource business for record companies and other music entities seeking compositions, productions, artists, and related music services. In 2007, she was named BMI's "Pop Songwriter of the Year" for 2006, as she had accumulated ten BMI awards in the previous four years for having written the "most performed songs on the radio." To date, she has had over 46 albums in the Top 10 on Billboard magazine's 200 album chart. Her songs are on various hit albums that have collectively sold over 100 million copies. Now with that said, I believe she has the ability to be a judge on American Idol. Whether you like her style of judging or not is up to you. As for that song she co-wrote for American Idol.....I personally really disliked it and now it is Kris's obligation to sing. It was trite and filled with cliches.
