Survivor winner Ethan Zohn has cancer.

I just read about it on google news. He has a rare form of Hodgkins cancer and it's stage 2. So sad.

I saw that on our local news last night. I had forgotten he won Survivor. There have been so many of them now.

It is sad. He's so healthy looking.

Actually Hodgkins has a TERRIFIC survival rate. And unlike other cancers the staging in lymphoma has no bearing on the outcome of the treatment.
He should do well... He is healthy otherwise...

He's going to have to go through heavy duty chemo (due to the rare version he has), but should come out ok.

I thought I read this too. It is sad, but a terrific survival rate is a positive outlook.

Yes, I read he has a 90-95% survival rate. It's going to be rough though.

Yep, my husband had the exact same cancer about 5 years ago and it was a stage 3B when diagnosed. He had heavy chemo for 6 months and is currently in remission. My DH had the lump in the exact same spot. If you have to pick a type of cancer to have, this is the one. My DH worked through the chemo, but it was pretty rough on him.

He's very strong-- and that kind of cancer has a good survival rate. I wish him all the best.
