One day, I was on the little balcony, eating a tootsie pop(a grape one). I was hanging over the side and teasing her with it. Well, a few minutes later, I dropped it. It fell through this tiny hole in the wood beneath me, and landed on her porch. I had the nerve to knock on her door and ask her to retrieve it for me...lol. She laughed and shut the door.

| LOL, I was at the vet today, and there was a toy poodle just like that, and I wish I had taken it's picture. It was dressed up in a pink sweater, pink bow, and ....get this....PINK GLASSES....no kidding!!! It was too cute

I felt good about doing the right thing and I am not looking for fanfare just spreading something positive around for once instead of all the negative BS around us. I hope it brings to light how good it feels to do the right thing.

It's so sad that honesty is a rare things these days. What we give such pats and praise for now, was not so long ago nothing considered basic common decency.

It does feel good to do the right thing. . .it would feel like stealing to me. . .well it would be stealing really. I had something similar happen once. My DD13 was about 2 and we were in Children's Place. She was in the stroller and I was pushing her around shopping (not paying a lot of attention to what she was doing). When I got out to the car and was folding up the stroller to put it in the trunk, there must have been 50 pairs of sunglasses in it! I took them right back, and was so embarrassed that I hadn't noticed her putting them in there. But the manager was really nice about it and basically thanked me because so many people would have just kept them. I was thinking. . .what would I even do with that many kid's sunglasses. . lol!

You should be proud of yourself for doing the right thing. If you have kids, you are being a terrific role model for them. That kind of reminds me of something that happened to me a few weeks ago at the grocery store. When I got to the checkout, I noticed that the clerk charged me $3.99 each for 2 containers of organic strawberries. I thought they were regular strawberries for $1.99 so I told the clerk that I didn't want them. Apparently, the bagger put the 2 containers of strawberries in the paper bag with my other groceries. When I saw them, I gave the strawberries back to the clerk and told him that they were put in my bag by mistake. OP, kudos to you for your honesty.

A post like this is a great reminder of what appropriate behavior is, which, unfortunately, is getting lost in our society. It's great to get stuff for free (or almost free) at stores, when that is the store's intention (coupons, double coupons, rebates, etc.) or because of store policies (price matching, reward for spotting pricing errors, etc.). It's another thing take advantage of a cashier's inexperience (extra merchandise in bags or missing an item). Way to go, OP! And thanks for reminding us what honesty is all about.
