In the situation you describe, they are married in the eyes of the Church because an annulment has not been granted. If they care about Church status, they'll need to request that an annulment be granted. The Catholic Church can't very well go door to door and ask everyone if there's anything they can do for them. They'll have to go to them and ask.

It's my opinion that My Coupons needs a Religion - Political Board so that every thread at the Cafe isn't about religion or politics.
