Artificial bouquet

Grandaughter graduating from nursery school. Was thinking of making a small bouquet of flowers for her to save. Think it's a good idea or just by real ones. I saw the doilies in the store but have no idea how to put it together. Thanks for any help.

I'd buy real ones. I suspect the artificial ones would fade and start falling apart over the years, which would defeat the purpose of getting them.

I teach preschool and I saw several girls walking around with a single rose from a parent or grandparent. They were so proud of their flower since it was the first one many of them had received.

I'm not a fan of artificial flowers and especially not for bouquets. I would do some fresh flowers that could be dried, maybe with some pretty flowing ribbons that she could save. How long do you figure she'll want to save a bouquet from nursery school...or do you think kindergarden will quickly become the new and important memory?

or you could go w/ a wrist corsage of live flowers.

I'd stick w/ real flowers, much more memorable for a little girl to get real flowers than "fake".

Get real ones and then press them to preserve them.

I'd get the real flowers or like one poster said -- a single rose (thornless, of course).

I didn't realize graduation from nursery school was so important!!! But perhaps you can dry out the pedals and maybe put it with a picture of her on her special day and frame them together.

I like this idea, a lot of parents and grand parents do this type of thing and make a running scrapbook of the childs life events. While kindergarden graduation isn't in the same league as college graduation, a running scrapbook that you give the child some time such as after college graduation - so you can put that day in it too - will mean a lot to them as an adult.

what about a Jr. sized corsage or wristlet (one bud and baby's breath) w/ a matching ribbon to her dress, that she could wear for the day and then preserve? You are one nice G-ma!
