Vacation planner?

Hello! We are planning a family vacation starting in MO. and ending at the ocean in Astoria OR. My question is this, I'd like to know what lies between the two spots that are of interest. Is there a vacation planning site that lets me enter info like "start here", "end here", using interstate we plan to drive, ect...something that will point out tourist spots, cool things for the kids..as in a houseboat rental, staying in a teepee motel, the house made of rock..you know, jive things like that!
Thanks for any advice!!

I think AAA has something like that. Personally, I think it is fun to do all the planning yourself. I use Travel Guides, Hotel Reviews, Photos, Forums, Deals - VirtualTourist.com a lot when planning my trips. I post on the forums to get ideas and I look at some of the pages members have created.

Thanks for the info! I, for sure, want to plan our trip. I just need something that tells me what lies between point A and point B!

Check out your library and bookstores.
We have a book called something like, Beyond the Exit.
And I'm sure there are many similar ones to choose from.
I am now planning our vacation from Kentucky to Long Beach to Oregon and back home. I have been googling the towns that we are planning on staying overnight in and also some along the way. If you know the routes you are taking, I might be able to help some. You can PM me if you like.
