Vacation or Staycation?

This summer is your family taking a vacation or having fun in your local area with a staycation?
We are going on a vacation this year. We're driving over to the Oregon coast for fishing and fun, then up to Seattle for a Mariners Game, then over to Coeur d' Alene Id to visit family and a totally sweet theme park, then finally back home! My DH has been traveling like a mad man for work the past 10 months and has earned some serious reward points on the credit card, airlines and hotels. We're actually paying very little out of pocket for all this, and we finally get some much needed family time.
Last year we hung around town for a staycation. We went to a couple baseball games, water park, and rafting. I really enjoy any time my DH and I both have time together with our children. It seems like we both have so much on our plates, we have very little time where the 4 of us are all together at the same time.

We'll be driving our daughter to Denver, CO in August to attend college. DH's cousins live there so we will stay with them and make a mini-vacation out of it. Of course I'll be bawling my eyes out when we head back home!

Haven't had a vacation of any sort in about 5 or 6 years. I finally said I have got to get out of this town. It is only a mini vacation, but am going to Wildwood, nj this Sunday for three days. At least it is a little getaway, and I can get a vacation from cooking and dishes! yeah! Our car is getting up there and am holding my breath it doesn't break down, although, am having it checked out good on Thursday.

We'll probably just go to Indiana to visit my MIL, go to Holiday World and then find other things to do in the area.

We will have a staycation like most years. We will go to the beach once a week with a few other friends. Will go to the San Diego Zoo at least once and then hit some free or cheap things to do around San Diego.
