Father's Day gift ideas?

Just wondering what you all do. I need some inspiration.

I'm thinking of getting the book Hunting with Hemingway for my dad, but I need ideas for my DH, FIL, DS' dad, and my stepdad.

What are you going to do?

Hubby always buys his own gifts because I don't know what to get. He is really picky. The kids usually get him a new shirt and tie. Dad is tough. I usually leave it up to my brother and then go in on with him. Step Dad is easy--gift cards to eat out.

I honestly don't know. This gets harder every year. Honestly, I'm just thinking about something consumable....pistachios or a nut mix or something like that.

I look for sales all the time. I bought my fisherman husband two birdhouses one is a creel with equipment sticking out of it. The other is a cat with a fishing pole with a fish on it. I also got hm a coffee mug with a fish on it.
My husband loves to fish so anything fishing related he loves. And we love the birds we feed them all the time.

Believe it or not my dad loves to order his clothes and shoes from Haband they always advertise in the sunday supplements. He is so easy to buy for loves their clothes and items bless his heart. So for him its always easy.. My dad is 76 so just a thought he has been ordering for years and their items are really not that expensive. For my dh again so easy, loves sports magazines or rock magazine and dearly collects them he will read that magazine front to back and all in between peace for now.. Catherine

My DH saw the advertisement for the new Craftsman power hammer. Everytime he sees it, he makes a comment about it. But we don't do big gifts for Mother's & Father's Day. That will probably be a Christmas or anniversary gift. It's about $99.

My Dad is really difficult to shop for. He likes to garden so usually I'll give him a gift card for Home Depot or Lowes. Since he spends alot of time outdoors, I've also bought him windchimes, bird feeders, and small statues for his garden. A few years ago I gave him a do-it-yourself hardcover book from Home Depot. It had more than 100 illustrations for 340 projects, including 3,500 full-color photographs. The book teaches the four basic components of success: mastering unfamiliar skills, using the right tools and materials, working safely, and doing the job the first time. It tells how long each project should take, the materials needed, the recommended skill level, and solutions for common problems. My Dad really found it useful. He also likes scratch off lottery tickets. ~Lisa

DH was thinking of getting this, but changed his mind after he read the lousy reviews. He said the bad reviews were on Sears own website! You might want to check it out...DH ended up getting a subscription to MLB so that he can watch the Phillies online and other baseball games as well. ~Lisa

I have no idea. Dh said not to get him anything, but of course I want to get him something. He's been talking about getting a smoker for several years and hasn't done it. Since I have no ideas, I talked to the dds and said what if on Saturday we don't tell him where we're going and take him to the BBQ Supplies Store and told him to pick one out. I have no idea how to pick out a smoker! They thought it was a good idea, so I think we're going to do that. I think I'll go buy some meat beforehand, so he can spend the afternoon playing.

atta girl ! Get him something productive and that has benefits for the entire family ! I think you have a great plan. You could give him a card with a match inside (if those are even around anymore) as a hint. Or wrap a pair of tongs or gloves or a manly bbq apron...........

I am getting DH a new grill. He really wants a nice grill so that is what he is getting along with all the goodies to go with it. This is a nice gift for me too because it means he will cook more and I wont have too.

I give my DH a new baseball cap from the same charity fundraiser every year. He loves them. I need to get him one more thing. Not sure, maybe a new fishing lure set? It's so hard to figure out what he wants
