Had my endoscopy this morning.

Last Thursday I had my memorable colonoscopy and this morning I had my endoscopy. They gave me more medicine to put me in sleepy land this time. I guess this procedure must be harder to keep the patient still. I was really out of it when I woke up. My oldest son (24) and his fiancee took me. I guess at one point I told a nurse "I'm really F****** up". I'll probably never live that one down! I don't remember a whole lot except I was constantly repeating myself and walking weird. I think my son had a good time watching his crazy mom! I've never been drunk so I remember asking him "is this what's it's like to be drunk?". Luckily both tests looked fine. They took a few biopsies (sp) as a routine procedure so we haven't heard back from those yet. They wanted me take these tests because I am slightly anemic. Now they want me to take that camera swallow test for my small intestines. I am talking to my doc tomorrow to see if this is really necessary. I would rather wait a few months, retake my blood and see how it is then. If I'm only slighlty anemic, which I have been before, and nothing has been found in the more logical places I don't really think I need this test. I talked to my ex about it today (he's got a Phd in reproductive endocrinology) and he thinks along the same line that I do-wait a few months, re-test and see about it then.

I had three Oreo cookies! It really wasn't that bad-my boys and I have had quite a few laughs. I've lost 23 pounds since March 30th when I started my diet so I'm not treating myself too much! I'm quite happy I won't have to go through that colonoscopy prep for 10 more years!!!
