Thanks for posting the snopes link. They do a great job don't they? I have been curious about the baby carrots for some time and now I know a lot more than I did. After reading this, I'm thinking that the baby cut carrots probably can't be held as long as I sometimes hold my whole carrots. I love not having to peel and cut them, but if they don't keep as well, I might have to just keep getting the whole ones.

I have found that if I lay the carrots out on a towel and let them dry before I store them in the fridge, they last a lot longer. At our grocery store, they spray the veggies with water to keep them moist. The water then sits in the carrot bag and causes them to rot quickly. I hate biting into a mushy carrot! But, if you dry them out, then put them in another bag, they last a lot longer. Lisa
