Do you Spanx???

I'm thinking I need to look into some Spanx. Does anyone here wear them , and are they very uncomfortable?

Also, does the original Spanx brand work better than say, the Target brand? I've realized I have some stuff that needs concealing!!!

I wear Spanx with a skirt. The thing I hate is when the top of it rolls down. But it does do a good job of tucking stuff in.

I bought the target brand.....it works, but somehow my little pudge escapes somewhere...either out the top or bottom. My cousin swears by the name brand but she has money...... I do think I look slimmer, but that just could be my magic mirror lying to me again.....

My magic mirror tells me that I don't need these at all - name brand, or otherwise. Maybe that's because I have a name brand magic mirror.

I used it at my son's wedding a few years ago. Everyone in the wedding did. Just made for a smoother appearance. I haven't worn it since.

My daughter wears the original brand and she says they are quite comfortable. She tried on an outfit with them on and showed me the before and after. I have to say that they made a big difference. They made her look alot smoother!

No I don't. After baby #1 10 years ago I wore a spandex legging under pants to help my "pouch" look flatter. I couldn't wear the shorts (you could see the hem under the pants) and I don't "do" skirts. They weren't uncomfy but now, after 2 kids, I have learned to become happy in my body. I don't want to "false advertise". I know a guy who was PO'd when he first saw his ex GF nude the first time. He thought she had this great rack (if you know what I mean) and she really just had a super good wonderbra LOL He felt deceived. Yes, he IS a pig but I see where he's coming from. It's like lying without saying a word. I prefer to be happy in my body.

I use them when I want a smooth line under something. I have a couple of dresses that I won't wear without them. I own a non-brand slimmer and it rolls down horribly. I also own a "Spanx" and it works really well and stays once you get it up there. Getting into it can be a handful, though. Spanx makes them in all configurations now, so you can get just what you need. FWIW, I'd spend the extra money on the name brand.

I agree. I only wear Spanx for "special occasions" but they really do make a big difference in how an outfit looks.

I bought mine at Lane Bryant.

I'm pretty sure I got my pair of Spanx at a Marshalls or TJ Maxx...I do have the name brand, and I *know* I didn't spend the $$ at a full retail type store.

There are only a few items in my wardrobe that call for them. That's the only time I wear 'em.

I try to buy stuff made of fabric that doesn't "betray" me nowadays...but sometimes, it is time for me to break out the Spanx.

I loved this!!! Well-stated. And you're right, sexysmurf. It IS. But I'm not above this type of dishonesty...

Wink

I would simply love to wear something to make this belly go away, but I hate that tight feeling I cannot even wear pantyhose too tight. I have learned to like to wear some black clothes they do seem to help to hide some of the belly... Peace. Catherine

I actually bit the bullet and bought a pair off the Spanx site. I love it. I only wear it a couple times a year, but when you have something clingy it's really great.

Just an FYI - Spanx are not a miracle garment - if you have "large" bulges, it will not get rid of them, but it will smooth out smaller "imperfections".

Go to Marshall's or TJ Maxx they have Spanx and similar ones. I have the other brand dept store price $39.99 their price $7.99. They have many styles i.e. for pants, ones like panties, for under dress, etc. I LOVE them. It makes the difference of having no muffin top, no lumps or bumps and takes you in at least an inch or two.

They are very comfortable not binding at all unless you get the wrong size.

Run there now and get some lol.
