Thumbs up Cool dogs

Check out website: Welcome to MyDogIsCool.com Really neat pix of dogs whose owners have pledged to NOT take their dogs out in cars in hot weather.
Please remember to leave your pets at home in the hot weather. Cars can heat up extremely fast even with the windows opened slightly. Animals cannot tolerate the over 100 degree temps and can suffer organ damage as well as death. This site tells when it is safe and when it is not. Offers free flyers too.

Wink

As a huge animal activist this thread is extremely important to me... yet there are still so many irresponsible pet owners who continue to leave their pets locked in a hot car while they can and run errands... Very very important to spread the word and thanks so much for posting... Peace. Catherine

Taking dogs somewhere in the car and LEAVING them in a hot car are apples and oranges. I take my dogs to the river and the bark park a couple of times a week - I would never dream of leaving them in a hot car.

Yes, taking them and leaving them are two different things. We who love animals know the difference, others, I'm not so sure about. Just wanted to get the info out. I especially like the statistics about how fast a car can overheat. Just an overall good site to educate.
