Are free e-cards a thing of the past?

I used to love hallmark.com b/c they had so many choices of ecards to send that were free and now everything is 99cents when I just glanced through them. I tried googlingl free ecards and several sites popped up, but it's only free as a trial or something.

Just curious if anyone else has run into this and if anyone knows of a good site.

Thanks.

I dug around and found a few free ones at Hallmark.

Hallmark.com | Our Apologies

You're right, though...very hard to find. I used to send a lot of e-cards, but it looks like I won't be anymore.

I can't imagine paying to send an e-card. Most people just look at them and delete them. They probably would never realize you paid for it.

I think Hallmark still offers some of their e-cards for free, though. Dayspring Christian ECards do free ones, too. I'll check on it and post the link. They have a good assortment of all different kinds.

Found the link:

I won't open anything that looks like an e-card. Too many trojans attached to "fake" e-cards. Last e-card I opened (it appeared to be from my brother who has sent them in the past) put a virus on my PC I don't think most people look at them anymore because of that

That's why I liked hallmark.com so much, I've never had a problem with them. I did get my free ecard sent off - thanks everyone!!

I only trust hallmark, blue mountain, and american greetings. I know that both hallmark and american greetings offer a few free cards of most types. You can't be choosy if you want free though. Completely free, full-access at reputable companies does seem to be a thing of the past.
