I've never been on a cruise...sounds fun!

We leave July 3rd for Park City, UT and are there until July 10th. They do a great big fireworks display and live entertainment..all free and we can stand on our balcony and see/listen to it all

Since this is our busy time of the year, we can't take vacations now. We do them in the winter or over spring break. However, we've done and will be doing long weekend trips on our boat to Canada, Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island and Presque Isle. I just wish it could be a whole week!

We went to Disneyland for Spring Break. Luckily.

DH tore his labrial (in his shoulder) at work a couple weeks ago, and goes in for surgery in July, so I doubt we will be doing anything. He is going to be in a sling, and doing physical therapy for the summer, I am sure.

We may, and I mean *may* go to a baseball game. And *may* go to the local amusement park. But those are big *maybe's*, and all depend on DH's recovery.

We do a lot of camping, we have a permanent site on the lake so we do that most weekends. Dh and I are going on vacation, just the 2 of us. The girls will stay with my parents. We're going to Las Vegas!!!! Never ever thought I'd get to go back there, and I never thought I'd get him there. Leaving July 18th, and I cannot wait!!!

We went to Memphis this past weekend. Nice place. I'd like to go again and be able to do more, there just wasn't time. Spent all day Saturday doing a fundraiser and that night seeing Eddie Vedder Sunday I was really too tired to do much and seems like most everything didn't open until noon.
Heading to Chicago August 22-25. But most of that time will be busy with fundraisers and seeing Pearl Jam.

Thanks!! Enjoy your cruise! We were going to take a cruise as our trip, but decided to fly someplace instead. Lucky for me it happened to be Vegas!

We are going to NYC on the 5th to see the Yankees (Father's Day present to my husband)
In August we are going to Honolulu and Kauai for 2 weeks.
After the 2009 that I have had I think that I actually deserve that trip.
ALOHA!!!

I am very lucky my MIL is taking me. She has always wanted to go, her cousin has always wanted to go to Greece so the cruise was the perfect solution. I am going to make sure they behave

We spend a lot of time at my Mom's mountain cabin(which is usually always 20 degrees or more cooler than it is here in the desert and only 3 hours from home) but will also be heading to San Diego to BEACH it. We had planned for it this month but BOTH my kids ended up breaking their arms 1 week apart. Both get casts off on 30th but son may have to go 2 more weeks(depends on xrays).

We are going to Seattle and Port Townsend for vacation the second week in August. We will visit my niece in Bremerton, then on to Port Townsend for salmon fishing. We are looking forward to it, although the cruises sound nice...

I am on vacation from work this week and am spending it right here at home on the Ponderosa as we call it.

We doubled the size of our house and the drywallers finally are finished so lots of work ahead of us with painting, installing light fixtures, trimming, and picking out the new flooring. My DH is painfully slow at deciding what he wants in laminate flooring. When we go shopping it just about kills me because I can look at something and say, " yes, that will work" and then love it till the day I die. They say opposites attract. haha

Have a great time in Vegas and go see the Freemont Experience. It's really cool. The theme is Summer of "69. We also went to the top of the Stratosphere. If you are daredevils, they have 3 crazy rides at the top of the Stratosphere. I was just there last week.

I just love San Diego. Make sure to go to Balboa Park on a Sunday. All types of museums, arboritums, gardens, bike rentals and The International Village. It's awesome. Check out Old Town for dinner. Enjoy!!!!

No big vacations here, just little jewels to look forward to here and there. We did the overnight in DC on Thurs/Friday, and that was wonderful. We had our free hotel room thanks to DH traveling for work and earning the points. We also hit the free museums. In July, our two younger kids get to head out to a free oncology siblings camp for a week. DH and I might try to sneak away, if we have enough points for a room. In August, we would like to take the two oldest boys to DC. DH's friend (well, more of a mentor, he is 73) said we could borrow his 11th floor condo, on Pennsylvania ave., with the huge terrace looking over the city. The pool is on the 12th floor. We have vouchers for free Nationals tix, so I think that will be cool-we can send the boys off to explore (ages 18,16), we can go explore, and it will be so awesome. So, no big vacations, just little pay-as-we-go highlights throughout the summer.

End of summer cruise on the Glory August 29th.
DD is at a Young Life camp at Saranac Lake,NY this week.
Otherwise just hanging out by the pool, parties on the weekends and going to the beach, my kind of summer!

Great to hear that. The only thing I'm bummed about is that the Glory doesn't have a big screen yet. I like the big screen on the ships We are doing the Dream next spring break, I can't wait to see her!

I am going on a cruise out of Baltimore this Friday, July 3rd. We are doing Carnival Pride for the first time. My daughter is dropping us off and watching our dog so just the price of the cruise and spending money. We will be celebrating our 35 th wedding anniversary a little early (August 17 is the true date). We have a balcony for the first time at a great price.

linnybob---Glad you enjoyed your trip to DC. I live in the area so if you need any help let me know.
