Ed rendell really grinds my gears. He keeps showing up on the news, saying he has leased the PA Turnpike to a Spanish company for 75 years for 12 billion or something so he can fix roads. This makes no sense to me, and I am so mad I dont have a say.
He PO'ed me last summer when he with held payroll to state employees (thereby closing PA state parks, our favorite camping destination) because he wasnt doing his job.
This guy is a joke.
I guess we need the money, but the other option was to toll I80. I was for tolling that road, because I think of all the traffic coming and going for NYC are really beating on the road. The turnpike is one of our largest assests and it just does not make sense, after all this money will be gone quickly, ten years will go by and guess what?? They will bneed to be repaired again, then what will we have?? crappy roads and no turnpike

Yes. you are absolutely right-we should have had a say and he is a joke for govenor. All he cares about is big business. New football and baseball stadiums. The turnpike thing is going to be a huge mistake and they already know that it is going up. I am glad I only use it about once every 10 years! Then the prices are outrageous that someone like me can't afford to go to ballgames-not that I would anyway. Then the casino's are another thing with the property tax relief. I don't know what you will get back for your taxes. I heard the tax raise in Lancaster will take all of theirs. What we are getting back is so little, you feel like telling them to keep it. They always just scam the people.

Did you know too that because people were voting out the legislators and judges during the pay raise fiasco, that now they are crafting a bill (without giving the people a chance to vote on it) that we won't be able to vote for/out judges anymore? It is just in the works and hadn't passed yet. There are very few legislators that care for anything but their pay too! Nothing will ever change in the government unless you can keep voting out the people who won't do squat for the people until they get the point.

Between the gas, heating oil, food,etc. we soon won't be able to keep a roof over our heads! Oh, I have to stop, as I can feel my bp going up!
