I am going to vote Democrat because they say they are against the war..
but guess what they are sending us straight into another one.
Democrat sponsors of Congressional Resolution 362 (introduced on May 22, 2008), and Senate resolution 580 (introduced June 2, 2008) which will probably come up to a vote after the holiday.

Ron Paul makes me laugh. I think his perfect foreign policy would be a ten foot wall around the entire country. Isolationism is not a solution.

Congressional Resolution 362 is a bi-partisan bill, BTW, not solely a Democratic-sponsored one. Senate resolution 580 is as well. Check your facts.

But top person that sponsored the bills are both Dem. others are co-sponsored.

The foreign policy of Ron Paul is not isolationism..that is what we have today!
He wants free and open trade with EVERY country.

I did listen to the whole thing. Most of it is so twisted around it is funny.
The Republican party has changed alot over the years..that is why some are trying to change and take back the Republican party to its basic principlies. Less government.

The bottom line is that Democrats say one thing and do another. That are against a war but vote to fund a war.

Democrats voted to fund a war that was presented to them as a total lie--not just a misrepresentation The facts put out there were KNOWN to be false by those puttingout the information. The problems was that the Dems made the mistake placing their trust in the words of these presenting the "facts", something they are now sorry they did, I am sure.

I don't doubt BUSH wants to go to war against Iran. Hell, Bush would go to war against Canada if he could, he's simply a warmonger. Ritter's being disingenuous to claim that the Americans wouldn't support a war in Iran if they knew the facts. Most Americans already don't support a war in Iran, just like they don't support the war in Iraq. Bush lied, Mr. Ritter? Duh!

Why did Democrats sponsor these bills and why will the majority of Congress vote in favor for these bills? I guess in a couple of days we will see who voted yea or nay.

Iran will probably see these severe sanctions placed against them as an "act of war" and will try to protect itself.
In the very least we can except the price of oil/gas to go up. Just based of the fear factor of possible war. Some experts have predicted gas will rise to $6 per gallon if the resolution passes.

We have already set up a blockade. That is considered an act of war. Iran has been trying to protect itself from us for a very long time.

Part of the reason that the speculators are driving up the price of gas would be the constant threats against Iran. (Look at a map)

Bush won't go to congress; he'll just nuke Iran. We have to see who wins out. Cheney wants to nuke Iran very badly. Condi is trying to hold him off.

These bills go way beyond a "blockade".
Anyway it will be interesting to see how Obama and McCain vote on the Senate bill.
