While we are on the subject I personally would have loved a Black or White Women run our country. So for now I will take Obama he and so many Black Americans deserve it and its way over the time. Skin color has everything to do with it. Have you not seen any of the rallied where people are saying such hateful things about Obama because of his skin color. do not even go there and twist my words. I simply said its about time a African American given the chance to be president, and you can honestly tell me that all Americans feel this way. You honestly think he DESERVES to be pres. because he is Black.....what about Louis Farrakkan,,,Jesse Jackson...Rev, Wright...AL Sharpton???? DO they deserve to be president because they are black??? I am afraid so many people are only voting on the fact that he is black. No other reason.

The poster did not say that Obama deserved the presidency because he was black. She was referring to the calls for his death (off with his head, kill him) being due to his being black. I do think it's part, but not all, of the reasons that the crowds at the McCain Palin rallies have become so nasty.

Tell me why you think Acorn, an organization that works for the betterment of minorities and poor people is a bad organization. Yes, there are some that will dislike Obama because he is black. BUT I do think the percentage of voters that vote for Obama because he is black is higher than people that will not vote for him because he is black.

I have read that 80% of blacks are voting for Obama. I have not researched this, so do not know the factuality of it. don't think they can really say something like this until AFTER the election. Do they even keep track of each person's skin color for voting??

I read the same thing during the primaries with exit polls. They also look at the rally how many people attend that are white/black. Comments were even made in the news during the conventions. That at the republican convention very few blacks.
I just hope people would base they vote on a candidates policy views and not whether they are black, white, woman, etc.
People really need to ask themselves..if I have never seen Obama or knew he was black or a Democrat would I still vote for him. I do sometimes wonder if it would be different if he looked more "white".

Did it ever occur to you that the people who are voting for him do so because they like his platform? I think some are voting for him just because he's a Democrat, but, I don't think anybody is voting for him because he's black.
