We paid for this ad to run in our local paper Friday Feb 1

VA primary is Feb. 12
We are planning on running a different ad later this week for 3 days.

Around here not many people have even heard of Ron Paul

Good for you all. Even though I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, I sympathized with his impatience to get an opportunity to answer a question at the last debate.

An article about the media bias

World Tribune — Media malpractice: Popular support for Ron Paul, Mike Huckabee not news

"But it looks like Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee are in the race to stay because of their grassroots support. By trying to ignore or marginalize these serious and important candidates, the media demonstrate their bias and elitism.
The result of this media malpractice will be growing public awareness that our democratic form of government is increasingly at risk because the people are being denied important information about the candidates and the issues."

No one can deny that Ron Paul has very devoted followers. He actually has more money on hand than either Romney or McCain. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be translating into nationwide support. I think that he should make a third party run.

I do not know if he could be talked into running third party. Only if a third party could compete with the two-party system we have in place. Most in the grassroots believe we can accomplish more by only running as Republican.
Ron Paul running for President is more than just trying to get elected, it is about starting the grassroots foundation for the future. Already lots of his supports will be running for local, state, and federal offices with the help of the grassroots foundation.
So even if Ron Paul does not win the election..he has started the Revolution.

From a Grassroots forum post:
"The Revolution is not about one man.
It is about the message and changing the system.

They set up a two party system for controlling America and it's money. They know that the only thing that can change that system is if we take over one of the parties, like a swarm of ants.

There are now, and probably always will be, Thousands of people who will hear of and vote for Ron Paul because he is a Republican. But who will NEVER hear of him if he is a third party candidate. This kind of thing has been proven over and over in the past.

Remember that the revolution will spread to state and local government as well, if we do it this way.

So, whether it is about this election for president, or later ones for the presidency or congress, the ONLY way that we will fix things is to keep doing what we are doing now. That is, charging the battlements of the Republican party and taking it over completely, so that one day the elections and candidates are honest."

From your devotion to Ron Paul, I really do think that your beliefs lie with the Liberterian Party moreso than the Republican Party. Ron Paul has no hope of securing the Republican nomination. It looks like McCain will be the nominee.

As fractured, and broke, as the GOP is right now, now is the time to launch a third party bid.

(Republican) President REAGAN: "If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism."

It will have to be up to Ron Paul to decide if he wants to try for a third party run. Either way I will continue to support him.

A great article about Ron Paul and his stand on some of the issues..for anyone that might be interested.

Why You Should Vote for Ron Paul

In 1913 $1.00= $1.00
In 2008 $1.00 = $0.04
The American Dollar has been devalued so much that $1.00 is actually only worth $0.04 .

Way to go! DH and I are Ron Paul fans too, and are disappointed (though not surprised) that he is not getting more press than he is.

I'm 43, and this election season is surreal to me. It's the first time in my life that there is NO candidate (other than Paul, but I'm assuming he has no real chance) who doesn't scare the pants off me. No one is really conservative and for limiting our government's seemingly endless growth. It scares me for me, and for my kids especially.

Anyway, back to topic - I like your ad!

It is nice to see someone else that likes Ron Paul. Hopefully after the primarys are over the movement will continue by getting people elected on the local, state, and federal levels.
Here is a link to his grassroots forum.
